So this film has been doing the tours of the various film festivals and getting rave reviews as one of the best, most hardcore action movies in years. The whole thing takes place in one apartment building inhabited by drug dealers and is about a SWAT team raiding the building, but then obviously things go horribly wrong and senseless violence and brutal action ensue. I'm definitely gonna be checking this out.

The Raid... the title is sooooo.. Hollywood B grade.

p.s. A US remake will have shakey cam, a car chase and lots of needless explosions. Just look at how they butchered Jackie Chan with movies like The Tuxedo..ughh.

I doubt it, from some of the reviews I've read, once the action starts it pretty much doesn't stop until the end of the movie, so I'm sure theres plenty we haven't seen.

Gareth Evans was in Indonesia doing some documentary on random fighting styles when he happened to meet Iko Uwais at his silat dojo. Long story short signed him up for a three movie deal - first one was called "Merantau" - its not a bad action flick very Ong Bak. This one should be even better. "Fingers Crossed"
