My wife was very excited about this ep, but I thought it was a bit meh. They seemed to have up'd the violence/action a bit. Maybe they are running out of story.
I'm not sure where they were going with the brother sister thing either, it just strikes me that anyone who's lived with someone as brother/sister from a really young age would never consider that sort of thing.
Either way, also holy fuck at the ending. Spoiler: To be fair, I've just watched the last 8 episodes almost entirely back to back, so it's felt like they were building towards Deborah having a "holy fuck, Dexter is my rock and the one thing I can rely on" moment, then finally having her discover him in the act of killing at the end. Which is pretty much more or less what happened. Not a bad thing at all might I add, given she found out in the first novel, so for them to hold off using this trump card until now is pretty impressive.
Can't wait for Season 7. Even if it's likely 9-10 months away :(
So there are two routes they can take next season.
1. (lame?) Spoiler: Deb gets onboard with dexter and feeds him info direct from police management. 2. Spoiler: Deb hunts dexter culminating in dexter having to kill his sister and going through the ringer mentally which would be FAR more entertaining, though maybe not as cathartic as deb and dex the wonder kid serial killers.
Back on topic, the only thing less explained and more unrelated was the first blonde intern chick who actually stole it and was then dismissed. Did they just decide she wasn't the right actor/actress for the role and replaced her with someone else who could continue on as a weirdo/fetish person?
