It has dragons, but they wont show up till the end of the first season (assuming 1 season = 1 book). Theres also been dragons in the past in the world, so theres like dragon skeletons laying around and stuff, but they've all died out.

The guy they've got playing Jaime Lannister looks pretty much exactly how I'd imagined him.
