Seriously, who designs a movie theatre where the seats are less than 2 metres away from the screen and off on some distorted angle so that you need to stare almost directly at the ceiling just to watch the movie?!

I'll tell ya who, someone who wants to jamm in as many people as possible because the only thing on their mind is $$$$$$

I caught Up in 3D and thouroughly enjoyed it. Saw it in gold class, but only because of the magnum ice-cream deal that brought it down to a reasonable price. it was still ridiculous how may additionly surcharges they weaseled in there though.

I likewise saw Up in 3D after using the magnum upgrade, but I wouldn't call the price I paid all that reasonable given, like you said, the surcharges they put on top.

independant cinemas for the win.

yeah sure the movie stopped once then started again 1 minute later,
but just didnt feel as lame as the big multi-cinema.
i.e i didnt leave feeling like a ripped off cow.

also, saw the preview for law abiding citizen. looks like a good old fashioned dad movie.......cant wait !!!!!!!!

I just went to book gold class tickets for some friends and I (a friend and I begrudgingly agreed to take our partners to the new twilight)

Tuesday tickets are the only ones I'll buy now that those magnum deals are goneski, so $30 per tix.. a bit expensive but reasonable for a night out

The fucking booking fee of $3.50 wasn't just for the booking, it was for EVERY FUCKING TICKET

$14 'fee' just to book
yet if I walk into the cinema and book the tickets with the guy whos getting paid $14/hr, its free

poor some coke into a tall cup and add lots of water so its flat
get your friends to leave their mobile phones with you, turned on.
record 20 mins of commercials to run before the movie starts
set air con to Arctic setting
