besides spooks ofcourse..

my mate is looking to get a new (used) car, but he is a real estate agent and needs a 4 door car.

his budget is $45 000
good fuel economy
doesnt want commodore/falcon

at the moment he is looking at 2005 Lexus IS200's and 2003 beamers, but i want to see if there is something more sporty though for that price. maybe even a 4 door skyline if you guys can find some good examples...

An evo or something with equally rough ride quality, space etc would be a terrible idea for a Real Estate agent.

yeah i spoke to him and he is not really interested in uber performance or imports, so at this stage a nice sexy Lexus IS200 seems the way to go.

i will suggest a Liberty GT or maybe even a new accord euro lux...

Since he'll be probably doing a lot of km's and will be depending on his car being available (not broken), something with excellent reliability and reasonable economy would be best.

He doesn't want to come off as a tosser to clients, so a subtle car is a good move. Something like a Merc or Jag would make him look like a snob to many people as well, so that's also out I reckon.

Lexus IS200/300 is a good choice, or a Subaru Liberty (extra boot space has to be a good thing for him), or a BMW/Audi of some description.

A smaller 4WD like a Ford Territory, Subaru Forester, Honda CRV, Suzuki Grand Vitara or something would also be a very good choice considering his occupation.

Yeah, if his occupation is made up mostly of masturbating over pictures of fat men... (perhaps that's what you're insinuating lol) Also, the Ford Territory is hardly a small 4wd, and most of its models aren't even 4wd at that. A dropped Forester GT would however be fairly acceptable.

I would say Lexus or Audi, although the new Audi's look like ass. RX-8 is 4 door! A couple of real estate agents here have them... My vote goes for RX8 ftw.

the Lexus i200s are awesome, as are the Audi a4 and s4's, and nearly any jag kicks ass. I think he has made a good choice with the i200 though.
