at my job we're looking into a way that we can use a tablet for when we do site visits.

basically what we want to do is be able to generate an email based off a template where we can take pictures and incorporate them into the form and then email it then and there. has anyone found a way to solve a similar situation maybe using an adobe form function or something like that? looking for ideas here

pretty sure there are real estate agent type apps which do images / reports on the ipad and emails it off.

What sort of work are you doing? If you can get away with something already made like i suggested above otherwise a simple / slightly customised CRM would do the trick.

i'm in construction. basically we need to take pictures of rooms for certification/insurance/whatever else we would need to prove before saying the works are 100% complete.

i've tried to do some research but this sort of stuff isn't my forte.

here was a quick google:

- Add operator comments
- Add photos, plans, notes and documents to your comments
- Add notes and drawings to plans, photos and documents directly on the tablet
- Use a drawing interface with eraser and 6-colour crayon
- Validate your comments when tasks are complete
- Reminder icons in comments
- Preview all comments on plans
- Save photos in the iPad gallery
- Create custom work packages
- Copy and move comments

Sounds like what you are after?

edit: and appears to be free.. score!

If you need something quite specific - I know a company that specialises in software like this for things like the mining industry (safety check forms for site visits etc) that might be able to help. Though this would be a custom (read: much more expensive than a single app) sort of solution.

If you can't find an off the shelf product that does what you want shoot me a PM and I can chase up some options.

Does your company use Sharepoint?

Theres a few apps that let you interface with Sharepoint from an Ipad that should let you grab photos on the device.

Whip up a simple list to track information, infopath form and maybe some workflow if you want to get complicated.
