do Crucial M4's come with the firmware fix already loaded in now or do you still have to DL and burn the ISO and do it yourslef?
for anyone who doesn't yet have one, they really are a top investment
couldn't agree more (if you're talking C-M4's or Intels) - though that said, an SSD upgrade is a good way to fast-track the death of a cheapy (or unreliable) motherboard.
I blue screen once every couple of months and then it won't detect the ssd when it reboots. Turn it off and on and it's there again!
that's exactly what turned me off them when I had easy access to them @ a previous workplace.
still - I would often take home a client's SSD (that was reported dodgy), ghost my own gaming PC OS onto it and use it flawlessly all weekend. It's hard to think it's not something else going on with the client's machine if I can't replicate the fault..
sometimes, we just have to accept that we lack the resources to test every option to get to the root of the issue..
it might just be something else in your PC causing the problem
