Yeah would probably go the M4 as they've been out for a while and known to be relatively reliable.

The current Intel 520s are based on sandforce like the OCZs. I'm sure they are likely more stable and less buggy due to Intel's tighter QC methods - but they haven't been out long enough to tell.

How long did your SSD last?

It was Rev's old drive so it would of been around 3 years ???

do they have a read and write limit, or just a write/erase limit? I wouldn't think reading from it would do anything, in which case it would never reach its limit coz he'd just keep writing more and more files to it, never deleting them :)

Crucial M4 here too. You can get the 256gb ones for under $1 per gb if you order from the states.

Ended up getting the M4 128 gig. I'm kicking myself that I didn't get the M4 240 gig that was on ozbargin 2 weeks ago for $195.

anyone gotten one of the pcie ssd?, that would surely be the quickest around wouldn't it?

^^^ Yeh I got 2 ssd's now but I'm tossing up if I should enable SRT "Smart response technology". From what I'm reading it is only good if you have a small ssd of say 40 to 60 gig with a normal hdd to make caching more effective. I'm thinking now I'm just going to leave them the way they are.
