also my system included ram and HDD & DVD.. if your not selling it with those, chop another ~$150 out of your sale price. So $750-850 maybe.

Questions that need answering:
How long ago did you purchase this?
How much warranty is left? Like the 5970 was released at tail end of 2009 if I remember correctly, which wouldn't leave much warranty left, if any at all.

You might have a better chance of putting a 500GB HDD in it and pawning it off on trading post or something. Otherwise split the parts, you'd make more.

The case still has all the panels they just were not in the pic because i was cleaning it. so would I get any interest on here for the lot @ $940?

i have had someone offer more than 200 for the card hermi so if you want it throw me your best price. After doing a bit of research ive found the oc'd 5970's still go for around 500-600 new, but because il be overseas soon and i cbf paying for the postage of this thing I thought I would unload it cheap but for a reasonable price.

If anyone is interested in parts let me know asap and if anyone is really interested in the whole lot il leave it up for a week if no one gets it then il part it out.

Only real problem is that it's a dead socket so you can't exactly upgrade from this machine. It's fine now, but you can only ever replace the video card and ram. The cpu won't ever change so..

As much as teh 5970 is a 'dual processor' unit, I can't imagine it's worth much more than $200 (if even).

It's second hand (there's no guarantee or warranties on it's reliability) it's now 2 generations old (ok, it still performs well, but yea, old tech is old) and the newer gen cards are supercheap (as the tech market has slowed a lot in recent years).

The bottom line (IF I were in a buying market) the whole PC is second hand, and if you've ever OC'd it, who know's what sort of operating condition it's in.

The amount you're asking is an indication of how quickly you want to sell it. If you're looking to recoup your costs, I doubt this is the place to sell it.
(If you're looking to offset the costs of your new rig however... get what you 'can' for it, and move on)
