I'll be buying a new GFX card soon so I can't play Syndicate in better detail or enjoy its many hours of R18+ entertainment in smooth frame rates.

Currently have a GeForce GTX260. nVidia fanboy since 99 (rocking the TNT), so prefer to stick with nVidia, but open to Radeon if recommended for value.

Budget is $250 ... tempted to spend $370 on a GTX570.

Also any thoughts on video memory? 1gb, 1280mb or 2gb?

I've got the 560 TI and it runs BF3 great

I use the GTX 570 and it runs bf3 everything on high max res nice and smooth.

Isn't the ATI 6970 > GTX570 ?? You can get them for $350 or something.

edit: seem they are basically neck and neck, and the better card depends on what game your playing.

I have a i5 2500k Intel CPU, on a ASRock Z68 Extreme4 - Gen3 with 8GB DDR3 @ 2000mhz, 64GB SSD Vertex II I believe, Coolermaster V8 CPU cooler, Gigabyte GTX 570 Factory OC'ed and this is all housed in a Antec Dark Fleet 35.

I've also got the GTX 560 ti (msi) and while its only paired with an old E8500 C2D it ran the bf3 beta pretty well.

I've got a several years old Core 2 Duo something or other, with 560 TI running at 1920x1200 I've been very happy with performance in Skyrim and BF3, particularly given the low cost of the card.

Like the OP I dont even consider ATI cards; it makes no difference to me whether one is 5% better than the other. Nvidia drivers seem better so I stay with them.
