Razer has launched a new product being dubbed "Project Fiona". A fully functional gaming tablet designed for PC gaming on the go.

Project Fiona Concept Tablet runs a PC environment on a powerful next generation Intel processor (i7) ready to play all of your favorite PC games. This tablet concept is running advanced applications on an ultra portable form factor, bringing hardcore PC gaming on the go.

Specs

Hybrid user interface for PC gaming
Intel® Core™ i7
10.1" 1280x800 display
Full-screen user interface supporting multi-touch
3-axis gyro, magnetometer, accelerometer
Force feedback
Dolby® 7.1 surround sound
WiFi 802.11b/g/n
Bluetooth® 3.0

Complete with dual analog controls and game pads either side of the 10.1" display.

The tablet features Dolby 7.1 surround and is the only tablet certified by audio monster THX.

This first-of-its-kind PC gaming tablet with integrated dual controllers is definitely not for playing casual games about unhappy birds or zombie-killing flora.

integrated controls looks homo as fuck,

Def needed to do something else with desing wise with it.

How have these tablets, that are starting to run new decent graphics games, been dealing with heating issues?

you would want to hope the joy pads are detachable.

as for cooling I assume when your waving the thing around trying to fly in hawx it cools pretty quickly.

Controllers are detachable apparently. At least from a video I saw they were.

'PC Gaming' huh?

looks like another console effort to me...

First question, how 'compatible' is it with games?
(lets address that question more specifically to control interfaces before we get into more fiddly software/hardware constraints)

It runs Windows and has Bluetooth which means you can use a mouse&KB. It's no more of a console than a laptop is.

I'm not sure when you last 'gamed' on a laptop, but I assume the reason this has those two 'nun-chuck-esque' grips is so you can actually hold it, and still have fingerprints when you're done.

Gaming on a laptop is a compromise. (I'd say moreso than gaming on a console.)

Interesting, you could drive a vehicle with that.
Its kind of like an F1 steering wheel.

Looks interesting, especially when windows8 supports multi touch.

I could totally see myself playing swtor on that after getting used to the control scheme,

You wouldn't want it to big otherwise it will be unorthodox and too bulky to hold
anything bigger then say shoulder-width apart is too big.

I'm looking at a 42" tv right now.

If your shoulders are that wide it means you are a freak and have to turn sideways to get through standard doorways?

Dumbest concept just hold your hands out like you're playing it, your eyesight is LOWER than your hands.

The centre of the screen is below where your hands will be holding.

In other words, you ever held a PSP for like an hour while in bed? Yeah, you get that gamers claw, where you take your hands off and your hands go tingly and hard to move till the blood gets through hem again?

also hold your thumbs in the position of the analogue stick and pretend you want to use a skill.

Yup, your fingers need to curl under your thumb to use a button..

I can't even trust razer to make a mouse that doesn't break after 2 or 3 weeks so fuck trusting them to have a fully functioning tablet pc thing. Wouldn't trust those pricks with a burnt match.

The force feedback would make the screen shake.
Razer are just trying to make us talk about them, and have succeeded

Fiona will not come to this house.

Same thinking here.

Can't see this happening anytime soon - and I wouldn't buy one if it did.
