So I don't know if I'm crazy or what but my monitor appears to flicker but only when displaying certain colours. It's an Asus MK241H and I guess as far as computer stuff goes it's "old", so is my monitor on its way out or what?

If the monitor is dying what's a decent monitor around the 24 - 26" area, any brand up to ~$500? Primarily used for games and watching TV/videos but with a little bit of non professional video/photo editing on the side.
