This is total bullshit. Having actually been to India, you don't get sick if you avoid the thing that will make you sick - ie. the local water. That means not forgetting (because you are a half-wit bogan) to wash your teeth with bottled water, keep your mouth shut in the shower etc

Food is all good in the places a tourist is going to eat at, especially at 5 star hotels like the cricket team will be eating at. Didn't get sick over weeks of touring India and it really isn't that hard to avoid.

i agree, batsmen need to be able to play around the world in different conditions, india are just that little bit worse than other countries in the doctoring, at least in australia our pitches resemble themselves year after year (SCG slower with a bit of turn, Adelaide oval massive road, Gabba bit in it for the swing bowlers and pace bowlers (although SK Warne had some of his best returns there), WACA faster and bouncier, MCG generally pretty even but can have some juice in it). indian pitches are just generally dustbowls - although this pitch cannot be too bad if the indians knocked up 500 odd, particularly with dhoni scoring 224. i never really rated him beforehand too much, but perhaps i may have to rethink that.
