Some very good LBWs given.
Yeah i dont know how you can have no referral system because 1 team objects.
Pitched looked terrible buts its dried out now.
The Foxtel pic was pretty ordinary but they are splitting the channel in 4 because the footy codes are on.
Fox Sports needs another channel.
Considering the price increase its about time NRL had their own channel.

Superhuman effort from Dhoni ? or Australias soft belly bowling attack ?
ffs its time to get rid of Lyon, he is not a test quality spinner.

haha Warner has Dehli-belly. You dont tour India, you survive it. This is total bullshit. Having actually been to India, you don't get sick if you avoid the thing that will make you sick - ie. the local water. That means not forgetting (because you are a half-wit bogan) to wash your teeth with bottled water, keep your mouth shut in the shower etc Food is all good in the places a tourist is going to eat at, especially at 5 star hotels like the cricket team will be eating at. Didn't get sick over weeks of touring India and it really isn't that hard to avoid.

no real dodgy decisions, from the ones I've seen - granted I haven't seen many but they are constantly appealing, it's a joke
so is the pitch

One thing that gets me about uninformed people who complain about the pitches in India.
It's the local flavour.
Indians have grown up on flat and turning pitches. Its a home ground advantage.
Much like when they come here.
We have green-tops and concrete turf which just flies off the deck and quite often around throat height.
I say its all fair and we need to adapt.
I believe the non-asian countries are going to get much better at touring India over the next decade thanks to the amount of cricket played over there these days. Especially with the IPL and the sustained success of India in the Test arena.
The best sides always tour the sides going well.
Guess thats why we had a little tiny bit of South Africa then Sri Lanka and West Indies this summer.

nah he's right, i've seen heaps of complaints about the pitch, just check out warnie's instagram (lulz) heaps of idiots (both aus and indian) going at each other about the condition. warnie's photos make it look pretty damn shit though, haha.
i agree, batsmen need to be able to play around the world in different conditions, india are just that little bit worse than other countries in the doctoring, at least in australia our pitches resemble themselves year after year (SCG slower with a bit of turn, Adelaide oval massive road, Gabba bit in it for the swing bowlers and pace bowlers (although SK Warne had some of his best returns there), WACA faster and bouncier, MCG generally pretty even but can have some juice in it). indian pitches are just generally dustbowls - although this pitch cannot be too bad if the indians knocked up 500 odd, particularly with dhoni scoring 224. i never really rated him beforehand too much, but perhaps i may have to rethink that.

2nd ball from Lyon = 6
lol ffs Lyon is no better at spin than Warner or Clarke.
Aus should play 7 batsmen + wade and 3 quicks.
two batsmen as part time spinners.

Stephen Smith is at least as good and bats better.
But apparantly the rumour is he doesnt get along with Clarke.
another top order failure.
Clarke has to rescue Australia yet again.
maybe they should open with watson and cohen and let warner rip at 3.
with the exception of the last wicket the first 3 fell to medium pacers.
How about QLD winning the One-Day cup ?
awesome final over.
Victoria i think 6 finals in 8 years and won it once.

I dont mind what Clarke did in declaring.
he must have thought there was something in the pitch.
Unfortunately our Bowlers just werent able to get a breakthrough.
That pie chart that the Indian telecast puts up showing who won what session is a very good way of understanding the flow of the game. Id like to see that more often.
I like seeing the Aussies under pressure but i got the feeling in the last two tests Ausralian players had given up. India were pathetic last tour here but they have revitalised and turned around a huge defecit. Well done to them.
|
Putting my hand up as the new Australian leg spinner, is there an open trial somewhere? I believe CA are trying to fast track a citizenship for a Paki leggie, so the job is likely already taken...
