In an interview with GamesIndustry International, Ubisoft's Uplay director has confirmed that games from both Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will soon be available for purchase on Ubi's own Uplay digital distribution service for PC games, as well as an assortment of smaller publishers and indie developers --claiming to have 25 to 30 titles preparing to launch, from 15 third party partners.
"We've been working on this for some time. We've been launching our own Uplay shop, and we wanted to make sure we offer a good experience from the start so we had to work on both the technical setup and all the negotiation with partners, and we thought the timing was good after the release of very strong PC titles from Ubisoft but also from partners."The article also notes that Ubisoft's titles will soon be coming to EA's Origin, adding to a similarly growing list of third parties already selling on the service, and mentions that the publishers games won't be departing Steam either.
Even though it's undoubtedly spurred by collective corporate concerns of Steam's growing monopoly on PC digital distribution, it's nice to see these rival publishers playing nice and increasing the value proposition of their respective online services.

I guess it would be ideal if you could get any game on any of the services (more like consoles rather than publisher stores) so that you could pick the one you like and stick with it.. and maybe this is a move towrds that. In the mean time I wonder if this means that uplay is going to run via an origin shortcut, like steam allows, or if it means you can have some kind of control over which s***** achievement engine you hate least - ie. uplay sucks s*** so ideally, if you purchase through origin, you wont have to ever see uplay. Of course, that sounds too good to be true...
