important info: we do finals and state of origin you get away teams if you forget your tips - UP to 4 points maxium for the round ie. don't forget to do your tips or stiff shit 1 point per game, no bonus points or anything all games are open to change tips over the weekend until 5 mins before kick off
PM me for the league code if you want to enter - this stops randoms who find this on google entering as i found out the first time i posted a dream team compeition on here
ps. don't forget there are the tabs for eliminator and 1 team tip which are little side games you can play which both need you to tip one team, they have no bearing on standard tipping
As I said in the other thread. I will destroy tips because this season I am back in AUS so I can get my expert opinions from my daily delivered courier mail. THE BEST NEWSPAPER ON EARTH
yeah the Club Challenge format changes from next year.
It will be played in the opposite hemisphere (England or Australia) that the Test Series/World Cup is played, so we should see an Australian game next year.
Foxtel are SPEWIN because they planned for Boxer Sonny bore Williams to be playing this weekend but he wont be. They were expecting up to 200 000 viewers.
Did you guys get an email from the NRL ?
I got some brochure thing, was nicely made, had the digital page turn thing.
quite classy.
Hopefully a sign the game is being treated a bit more professionally in marketing.
Just watched Storm vs Leeds. Don't know how Sinfield won golden boot, he offered nothing, his kick out wide wasn't that great. The try/goal line area is lots smaller than the NRL, it's like an extra 2 - 3 metres in, doesn't allow for much bombing/kicking.
The atmosphere in that game is heaps better than games in the NRL though!
The Broncos played ok.
Were much better when Prince came on.
Hodges played well too.
I watched the first 60 mins then went out, thought NZ would cave but they ended up scoring back to back then another to win. Good to see Prince taking on the kicking, Parker was always a dodgy boot.

Agree with all the above. Broncs bombed about 4 tries IMO so was alright except for that.
well on the one hand you have nz fans who think the entire world revolves around them and that every player that is speculated to leave a team is going to go to the warriors and that they are just generally the best ever in existence, so they are acting like the premiership is in the bag after last night
then you have the dumbshit brisbane fans who have written the season off after that match, the players should be ashamed of themselves, blaming refs etc etc there is one guy in particular on there who was saying we have to sign JT because the broncos have always had a qld/australian rep half and that's just how it has to be
and then there is the few on there who are just like 'it's a trial game guys.... chill'
Gambling Ads give me the shits and they have to go.
How can you have the games #1 star of the moment/face of the game, stood down because of abusing one of your biggest sponsors products ?
I just hope this isnt a cover story for Barba being linked to Drugs.
ahh yes good point, drugs didn't cross my mind... who knows maybe he's been linked....
he's a young guy 23 I think? and earning a couple hundred thousand dollars and loads of time on his hands so it could quite possibly be gambling plus he's recently split up with his missus.... I'd say it's a combo of drinking and gambling
Gee I hope we are there in 2013 but to be honest I can't see it happening to either of our teams. Melbourne are going to be hard to beat yet again, Chooks look good on paper, Sharks recruited well, Dogs will go well just have to see what this Barba thing does, Rabbits look good but will choke no doubt hehe Cowgirls should go OK as well, who knows with Newcastle though you can't underestimate the Bennett effect....
Dogs are fucked, Barba was responsible for 90% of their scoring. If he didn't score the try himself, he set it up. I doubt he will be out for long though, unless he did something that should see him banned from the sport.
Will be really interesting to see how the teams develop this year with all the post/pre-season line-up changes. Cowboys, Storm and Rabbitohs seem like the most stable at the moment but who knows what will happen when the whistle blows?
Someone had better get in trouble for something with all this nonsense at any rate.
After the Cowboys fuck up and all the publicity they drummed up making sweeping statements about drugs in the sport the ASADA had better come out of this with some scalps or there will be calls for theirs.
Don't follow the sport, but decided to join the work tipping this year. Managing Director at work always wins and top spots are always the top paid people over us low workers. Gunna try to guess my way thru and use some online tipping sites and maybe some of you guys if ur willing to throw some tips out.

It's not as easy as AFL tipping but the favourites still win mostly. Follow a newspaper columnist or this thread.
What happens if Cronulla stands down all players ?
Do we get another pick ?
is the points for the game scrapped ?
I think the players will play because i doubt there is enough physical evidence for them to be convicted. If anything the Club bares the responsibility.
I wonder what sonny bow williams is thinking before he runs on to the field ?
SBW "well bro u know its like i have to run bro and u know i run a bit and maybe later i pass bro"
That elevator doesnt go to the top floors.
SBW did nothing and threw a forward pass, what a waste of money and hype.
He treated the Bulldogs and the game like a piece of shit and now they suck up to him.
hes passed it, too many headknocks.
i thought Maloney was good at halfback and Jennings is still dangerous.
Roosters have a good side there and might make the 8.
Souths were monsterous.
The teamwork was there tonight.
They looked good.
SBW did nothing and threw a forward pass, what a waste of money and hype.
not sure if serious or actually that dense
his first games back was always going to be low key and he will continue like that until he's completely back in the fold , he made 28 tackles and scored a try
why would i expect anything but overly sensationalized stupidity from that poster
you really get worked up at my League posts dont you paveway ? ;)
Footy was a good comeback from manly but a terrible bumbling effort from Brisbane, they ahd the game then dropped intensity and manly went BAM BAM ...BAM
How about the show that followed the footy ?
The Robby Waterhouse Gambling Infomercial.
I am dead certain 9 have broken the law with that piece by not warning that it was an Ad.
be interesting to see if media Watch picks it up.
Fact is it was disgraceful.
they are teaching kids how to gamble, was barely 9pm.
You cant see nude chicks on TV but you can be served up Gambling.
Im sick of his gay ad too.
No smokes, No booze and No gambling ads during the footy.
its our game not theirs.

Probably right. ^^
Except: I thought Brisbane played alright.
Yer they made a few errors at the wrong points but looked solid enough..threatening at times, I do like the potential of a wallace/prince show.
After watching the a-league the crowds in the a-league are just so much better. Small crowds in the a-league feel bigger than the big crowds in the NRL :\
I only watched the second half (website said kickoff was at 8pm, fucking liar!).
Broncos seem unfit to me which is a bad start to a season. Manly were starting to show signs of fatigue as well and it was a wet surface but Broncos were clearly well behind them in terms of match fitness.
Prince and Wallace showed a good long kicking game but they haven't clicked yet in attack. That lack of effort on the kick chase was disgraceful and some of the "I don't want it, you take it" passing showed a lack of leadership and was frustrating to watch since it kept resulting in mistakes and turnovers.
After all the hype about the Rosters before last night they managed to show they haven't changed a bit despite all the line-up changes.
haha how the fuck could you have tipped the roosters
broncos will be ok this season, prince and wallace need to play more together but it was obviously they were much better in attack with prince there compared to last year
give them a few games
same as the roosters they have a fucking killer lineup this year but it's a new lineup and will need time to gel
I watched the first half on a webstream coz I was still at work. Broncs looked good, except the full back was shit - never in position to cover kicks properly.
Get home and it's 20 mins in to 2nd half and manly are in front... fuck sake >_< Then I noticed who was full back... fucking Norman. He's a shit player imo.
Anyone know where I can get a stream for tonights game.
Austar disconnected my sports and stuff while we were overseas. We only have basic channels now. I figure it will take longer to activate it if I ring them now.
CBF going to the pub.
Dont mind paying 10$ or something if I have to as long as there isn't a million registration hoops to jump through.
I'm ok with the ones I lost. Eels and Penrith were fucking horrible last year, if they've improved for this season that's great but I don't feel bad about tipping against them in the first round.
I changed my tip to the Titans on Friday and never changed it back when it was confirmed Sharks were putting out a full team. Titans actually performed a lot better than I expected, they out played the Sharks in the second half but at the same time it seemed the Sharks were starting to show signs of horse steroid withdrawals.
how can heardy be 15 ?
i think hes using peptides.

Hello? This is Curpal. Your fullback kicked my doggie and now he needs operation! You just tell your coach that I'm going to get my lawyer and he's going to hurt you! Shut up shut up shut up shut up you stink!
All the Foxtel panel shows have it the Foxtel coverage of games have it, channel 9 footy coverage has it, footy show has it and so does the weekend chan 9 footy shows all sponsored by some sort of gambling company.
what a fucking joke.
also what about Benji's try haha Parra are looking like wooden spooners again :P
Most if not all the 'rails' bookies i.e. the bookies at the track are all named after themselves.
He comes from a long line of bookies, his grandfather was once considered the largest bookie in the world. So it makes sense to cash in on that brand name
Titans played like they could make the top 4, Broncos played like they will be getting the wooden spoon.
Didn't think the Titans would be able to back up after last week, especially against a team as good as Manly. They are looking about as good as they were back when Matty Rodgers was still playing.
4 halves on the field for the Broncos, a heap of time spent in the opponents half and they couldn't score once.
unfortunately didn't get to watch the broncos game, looked like a bit of a stale mate
saw the last 10 of the titans was cheering them on even though I tipped manly - looks like daly cherry evans has made the full conversion to manly fuckwit with that ridiculous fucking hair cut
Broncos are playing way too flat and aren't supporting the ball runners at all.
Roosters broke through their line nearly every time they got the ball in the second half, if they were able to hold onto it and complete their sets the scoreline would have blown out. I think their shitty defense was due to their demoralization in offense though since they defended pretty well last week. They were tiring faster than the Roosters as well which is a pretty poor effort considering the lack of defending they did.
IMO they didn't do enough work in the pre-season, lack leadership on the field and they really should not have come into the season with 4 halves in the side. This points more to poor management than simply a need to learn combinations.
I'm ok with Hunt, he's a good utility player to have on the bench. I wouldn't call him a hooker though.
I think they should have cut ties with Corey Norman though. They've been playing Norman like a 3rd half in offense and he doesn't have the defensive chops for fullback IMO. Hodges looked much better at fullback last week.
There's a good chance he will be going to the Eels anyway, no point in carrying him and he clearly doesn't have a place in the team next year when Copley and Yow Yeh return.
I hope they stick with maranta over copely, maranta has bigger balls and a bit more heart and just looks like he should be there
copely still hasn't shaken the Toyota cup player filling in at the top level tag for me and still plays like that
I think norman could become a good fullback fixing his D isn't undoable, just depends if they're willing to just make a call, stick with it and put the effort in. at the moment they're chopping and changing
new broncos combinations are going to take some time to come good
the thing is we've been hearing this excuse for the last few seasons now.
this team has been building but they looked like a Colts side running around.
i really think Thaiday is woeful captain.
the broncs need an asskicker as captain.
wtf ? that dude wasnt even cited for that hit ?
they arent serious about shoulder charges, whats the bet we see some in Origin that are 'let go' ?
I get the feeling that, whats the word ???, 'mediocrity' has crept in at the Broncos, if they win half their games thats ok. Theyve become a mid-table team. With the amount of quality support they have at the Club the Broncos should be at the top of the table. Only one or two other Clubs would have a Club structure the equal of the Broncos.
They had been preparing for Locky to leave for quite a while.
None of those younger backs that they have groomed have stepped up.
Hence why they signed Prince which seems to have made little difference.
BBroncos are so bad. Lucky forthem last week Dragons even worse. Whoever bought Scott Prince needs to be put down. Thaiday is shit Parker should be captain. Kick Broncos out of the comp put in Adelaide rams

problem with hoffman is he is pretty unreliable in attack, but has the great defence and ball covering ability
i found watching ever since he had been fullback that most of the time they would try the pet second man play the majority of the time he would drop the ball/not quite be in the right position/throw a bad pass that gets dropped or missed completely
i don't know, if norman want to play 5/8 then good luck to him he had his shot last year and most of it wasn't that great, admitedly not all of his fault our forward pack died in the ass big time after origin time and never eally recovered which doesn't help any half
I second punching Tom Waterhouse in the face real hard, but we might have to settle for this: The NRL have told parliament about talks with Ch 9 about Tom Waterhouse's douchebaggery being clearly separated from the commentary team's shenanigans.
Even if we win this year, QLDers can still smugly point out that they have won the last seven. Even if we win next year as well... well you know.
Even if we miraclously win five in a row, you cunts still have this seven to go on about. This is permanent damage to my NSW supporting psyche that will never be undone. Well unless we win +1 more in a row than you guys end up winning but hahahaha to that. It's a really fucked up situation and I pretty much hate you all because of it.
thaiday and hannant and the other forwards stepped up tonight which laid the platform for the points they put on
that second man play they used to score those tries had me reminiscing of the karmichael hunt at full back days it was coming off so sweetly - the key is they need time and the forwards haven't been providing that for a while
yep sux for you, if thaiday can keep that form up running into origin along with the other ridiculous form already on display from Thurston, Cronk, Smith, Slater, Inglis, Hodges then i'd be worried
the biggest thing they have to worry about is complacency in the qld team, I've been saying this for a while now and I think it's why nsw have come close the last couple of years
I don't reckon. It's only three games and it would be pretty poor management from the coaching end if complacency found its way into the side. Surely it's not hard to keep your guard up for three games especially when the other side is coming after you so hard. I thought NSW genuinely played well last year and I was really happy with everything... apart from the series loss which was just one point.
Even though Cronk was there to take his place, Lockyer was a massive loss I think. Cameron Smith is a cool head and an awesome captain but losing those years and years of experience has to take its toll. The QLD forwards were also totally outplayed last year as well and hopefully they will be again this year. It's our one strong point. Our big weak link are our halves. Pearce is a joke and Carney is as green as grass. Carney showed he can play excellently during the 2010 season and is a genuinely good player so hopefully he can get over his nerves and play well, and hopefully Pearce dies of AIDS because seriously fuck that guy. Hopefully Mullen gets a run this year whenever I watch him play he always impresses me. At least we are out of the doldrums of 2008-2010. There were some truly insipid NSW performances in those years.
I view the regular season as simply a selection process for SoO in case you are wondering why I am talking about it so early in the season :P
I don't know if the Broncos performance tonight somewhat redeems them for last week or makes last week against a much weaker team look even worse.
The QLD forwards were also totally outplayed last year as well and hopefully they will be again this year.
Horse steroids.
Hopefully Mullen gets a run this year whenever I watch him play he always impresses me.
Adam Reynolds is the future half of NSW IMO.
NSW's problem is that they always want to win "this year" and never seem to have the patience to build a team and simply throw around knee-jerk selection reactions every time things don't go their way. I mean, how much of a massive deal did they make about picking Farrah last year? Someone who should have been getting experience in the side for 4 or 5 years but now comes in with only a couple of representative games under his belt is treated like the great white hope of NSW.
IMO Adam Reynolds needs to be if not the starting half, given a bench spot like Cronk used to have for Qld.
Yeah m8 that kick from reynolds to merrit to score in the corner was really slick. I thought they still looked hit and miss last year but damn, this season souths really look the goods. Sam burgess brother has been pillaging hard too.
Has Sunday Football on 9 pretty much died for anyone else? The game is aired after the game has finished and they have Ray "The Fuckwit" Hadley giving his opinion on everything instead of shutting the fuck up and calling the game like he is paid to.
I am not excited by Adam Reynolds.
Mullen is about as exciting as corn flakes.
Doesn't really matter whether he stirs your loins or not anyway, he has only been in first grade for a year yet plays like a veteran, he will play for NSW at some point without a doubt. My point is they should recognize that now rather than later and give him as much representative experience as they can.
If they invest in young outstanding players like Reynolds it will pay off in the long run.
I pretty much agree with everything that guy wrote. But I don't think it is something that the Government should have to do, I think it's something that the NRL has a moral obligation to fix.
With the number of NRL players coming forward with gambling problems and the gambling fixes that have occurred and been rumored to have occurred, the NRL have a responsibility to the players and the fans to act on this issue.
Bloody sharks!! Cost me a perfect round in my tipping comps.
Josh Dugan is back in the news for his rant on his instagram account. Bitch needs to fuck off and learn to have a real job with responsibilites and not fake injuries and think he deserves to get what he wants.
One of you FaceBook fans needs to start up a group that will boycott 9s footy until Waterhouse is off the screens.
I'd prefer the one where Vossy comes back and Hadley goes away. In fact there is a Bring Back Vossy page on FB but I think it's a lost cause. Ray has to much power and friends in the "old boys of 9" club.
Every week Barber was off the field was another embarassment for 9s Gambling promotions.
I saw the ads on Foxtel sat-night. I knew they were on but had hardly noticed them. Its very different to the Ad waterhouse has on 9. Not only does he get airtime then you have to suffered two of his Ads in commercial breaks.
Hes training kids to become Gamblers, in fact Im sure many parents have prolly laid on small bets for their kids. By 9 promoting it like they have theyve made it acceptable for families.
my point for posting this is it mentions Daniel Anderson the head of refs said the call on that try was incorrect and shouldn't have been a try, which is interesting because it happens all the time
Referees boss Daniel Anderson has likened the play to a marker obstructing a defender from making a tackle, and agreed it should not have been a try.
I have seen a try scored in origin (by nsw of course) after a scrum backed down right next to the try line and qld forwards were held in the scrum and nsw scored right next to the scrum and nothing is mentioned by anyone

What year/game was this? I don't remember it. I do remember NSW scoring a try when the guy playing the ball right on the tryline took out the marker and the hooker dived over for a try.

i don't remember, it wasn't that long ago though maybe like 2011?
i specifically remember it though, the forwards were complaining to the refs but weren't even acknowledged
no one in commentary said a thing about it even though it was blatant on replay
Which Tom Waterhouse Ad is your Favourite ?
is it the Banner that pops up during the game ?
The Horse Racing Ad in the commercial break ?
The Ad where he talks to you during the telecast ?
the Ad that appears twice during long commercial breaks ?
All of the above ?
The Broncos looked good.
No Thaiday as captain ?
They did seem to like that left side Vs Storm.
Bulldogs need to get their full side on the field.
Manly are pretty good again this year.
Once again tomorrow night its 2 games.
its pretty gay Saturday used to be triple-headers no ads.
Thursday night sunday night monday night footy all suck.
Saturday games are a bit depressing compared with Friday and Sunday imo. Afl does Saturday well but for some reason I find nrl Sat depressing. Probably cause no one cares about Auckland, Penrith, etc
I wouldn't be surprised if Ricky was on to something. I don't want to go all Faceman but with the level of gambling in the NRL the refs would be the most sort after for corrupting results. We know that players have been guilty of it in the past and they have far less influence over match results than a ref. Ref's don't have to make bad calls to change a game, they just have to not make the right calls to begin with which can be a very subtle thing and hard to prove.
People seem to think that refs are somehow inherently trustworthy but it's not like they are priests who you'd trust young children with. Many of them are ex-footballers themselves and are likely to glass their girlfriends at the drop of a hat.
What are peoples thoughts on the test side? If this is the side we go to the world cup with I'd be disappointed. Darius "Slow play the ball" Boyd being picked again for god knows why. He's one of 3 fullbacks picked yet he isn't even close to being in the same realm of skill as the likes of Stewart, Barber or Bowen and as a winger there are better options out there like Morris.
Also apart from the Kiwi there are no good young big men on the team which is a missed opportunity to get them some experience.
Good afternoon and congratulations! You’re ranked equal 1st out of some 63,000 people after NRL Round 6. You’re one of 888 tipsters who equally share the $10,000 cash round prize fair ‘n square. You have won $11.26 cash.
Yes, we’d probably all agree it’s a modest prize given we’ve had the whole $10k go-off twice and two people each pocket $5,000 in the first 5-rounds, but obviously your selections were very popular amongst the 63,000 tipsters.
Better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick, and hopefully if you like a bet, you can turn it into something a little more cheer-worthy.
DOnt think ricky will get a fine. Kinda see where he is coming from. 7-0 penalty count and you have no chance. He was careful with what he said...
Dude at my work said Ben Barba wants a release from the bulldogs immediately to join a SE-QLD team for family reasons. Can't see anything on the DT website. Rumour is floating round at leagueunlimited forum. Wait and see...
The guys on Roast on Sunday said there was a big secret at the Bulldogs that they were trying to shutdown that they couldnt talk about but too many ppl know about it and its hurting the Club. Something to do with their terrible start to the season ?
They didnt mention Barber but they were talking about the Barber issue at the time.
Kind of makes sense now.
pave (and all my other footy following mates) told me that either barba diddled kasiano's missus (or kasiano diddled barba's missus) and that barba is despers to get out of playing for the bulldogs to come to brisbane.
all the brisbane supports have raging woodies for this to happen.
Ben Barba is hated by most of the bulldogs players. It's started as him breaking up with his mrs, then he moved in with Josh Morris, apparently tried to hit on Morris' mrs, he kicked him out. Then the bulldogs went for a night out Barba, Pritchard and Kasiano are three names mentioned, Barba tried to hit on Kasiano or Pritchard's girlfriend on the night out.. Pritchard apparently beat up Barba pretty bad for doing so. Now Kasiano is "injured" and cannot play, truth is Kasiano is sick of Barba and his shit and refuses to play with Barba.
Ended up seeing some of the Titans vs Eels game (not all), could see what Stuart was blowing up about. Titans were off-side loads of times as well as slowing down the ruck a heap.
If Carney doesnt play then Pearce will be an even worse choice.
What a stupid waste of time the City V Country game was.
Much like the Test match.
Luckily nobody seems to have suffered a major injury.
The NRL is too tough a comp to be sliced up for pointless games.
lol at the hakas last night.
it went on so long i changed the channel.
only 4600 ppl turned up to watch the City Vs Country game.
Locals had to pay $50 for an open stand seat or $30 for general admission. An NRL spokesman said there were some $60 seats for members that were not for public sale.
Soccer is lurking in Western Sydney.
If Soccer ever gets its act together its going carve huge chunks out of NRL/AFL numbers. You cant have another weekend of footy like that again next year.
yeah city country needs to be wiped like a dirty asshole from the roster
i'm not really sure what they need to do about this mid season test weekend in regards to other football played, city country just seems to be kept around to help make up the number of football games for that weekend
maybe they just play the test match on sunday afternoon and that's it for the weekend...
similar to the proposal for origin games to be on there own weekend with nothing else, i have no problem with this as it is the pinnacle of rugby league pretty much - and it just becomes a complete farce for the teams that are heavily affected by origin vs the teams that aren't through this period..
^ it did get attention. the club has to pay for the repairs and they are looking at large bans for the perpetrators. David Gallop is in charge and he's going to get them.
no doubt this Einstein, who cleverly disguised his name by leaving no space, but most likely just fails at basic English, will be a good source for the police.
In other breaking news, Heardy is on top of the table!! I want a swab, Tom Waterhouse told me he was going to have a shocker this weekend. He's obviously on peptides!!
There has been a shit load of injuries so far this season. Wonder if there is a particular cause of if it's just been some serious bad luck.
Anyone else noticed the difference in reporting of the Waterhouse scandal between channel 9 and other stations? Channel 9 seem to be doing their best to make it sound like that John Singleton is just blowing off steam and the Waterhouse's are completely innocent.
I bet Waterhouse is the cause of all the injuries.
Carney turns down a million a season at the warriors and 900 000 at penrith to stay at Cronulla for $750 000 a season.
Looks like Carney has finally grown up.
i heard Barber address this rumour, in a round about way, on Sterlo - Fox Sports.
he denied it.
I think there may have been a bustup over Barber being drunk and saying something stupid and Kasiano has dropped him. Maybe a comment about his Woman, thats a good way to get sconned.
In the lead up to that try the rabbits score at 68th minute, Burgess dropped the ball getting up to play it and both refs missed it, burgess even gave it away by looking at the ref.
Cowboys ripped off.
and he usually plays better in Origin too.
Souths just too good.
At least the Cowboys are getting the cobwebs out.
Playing much better now than earlier.
I think you will find gallen very dodgey for origin, he said he heard a click in his knee when he injured it so i'd be surprised if they weren't just covering up the fact it is more serious than they want to let on.
You cant carry an injury into Origin.
its a much faster game than Club Footy.
They could maybe rotate him, 20mins a half but I think it would be better to replace him. If he broke down after 10mins that puts NSW at a big disadvantage.
Carney was good again last night.
I dunno if Maloney will get the nod.
It would suck to think just because hes a regular on the Footy Show now that he'd get the job.
In other sports news...
Apparantly 9 is in real danger of losing the Cricket.
They wont telecast the Domestic Comp like the Big Bash but TEN says they will.
I hope TEN shows it on HD - FU 9
Speaking of the Footy show, anyone see Beau Ryan get knocked the fuck out from a shoulder charge that didn't get put on report and then alternatively in the Cowboys v Rabbits game one of the Sims brothers got put on report for tripping over another player.
One was a fucking ridiculous thing to penalise and the other should have been a clear cut penalty yet it went the other way around.
I also think the Cowboys were robbed two tries by the video ref last night. I thought they were doing a better job than last year but now I'm not so sure.
oh come on, you dont think having a high media profile helps you get selected ?
not really.. no - considering how badly nsw need to win i'd find it even more unlikely that this makes any difference than I already would have normally
tbh I wouldn't be surprised if Maloney got it simply for being a good player, he has been consistently good for a long time. unfortunately it was shrouded when he was in nz by being surrounded by a loser team. his first season away from them with a half decent team and he is in the mix origin
I think the cowboys were robbed of at least one try due to not enough evidence to go against the refs initial call of try and I think south's were given a try when there wasn't enough evidence to go against the refs original call of no try - the reffing last night was pretty shady all round, though the cowboys had a shit load of chances
Losing to Parra is like paying $79 for a steak that wasnt cooked properly.
The broncos sucked but lets be honest.
The Ref was a wanker that made some bizare calls that one side had to get the better of and that side was Parramatta.
The FA Cup is on right now on SBS.
Its on SBS 1 in SD and SBS HD.
How is it SBS can show Sport in HD but 9 refuses to do it >?
9 the home of SD and no longer the home of Cricket.
Probably the only time Phil Gould will beat a team with Smith, Slater and Cronk this year though.
Tits were robbed a try by the video ref, Dragons scored a try shortly after benefiting from a clear penalty that wasn't called. Soward was probably upset that they only lost by 1 point.
This seems to be the worst round so far with regards to ref performance.
Like if they wanted to be hard ass about i put him in the bin for 10
But sent off for the rest of the game? They might as well called the game off there and given the win to manly - roosters did so well not to lose that game because of that
wtf who got sent ?
was it the guy that swung at george rose ?
i turned it over at that incident.
2nd hit on him though from same player, like the double spear on inglis by the same player.
Storm lose
Manly lose
Great weekend.
dont care about the Broncos, theyve lost the plot.
So i would just like to announce that with the conclusion round 9 spook is effectively on the bottom of the table as i am pretty sure the 2 guys below him stopped tipping a while ago

incoming..............dummy spit and e-leave from the comp :-)
Yeah 1 bad high call but it is no excuse for how shit the titans are
There were two or three bad high calls, I think the only one that was an actual high shot in replay was the one that got Bird sin binned.
Then by some fucking miracle the refs go on to not call two actual high shots in succession by the Titans.
The knee drop by Dave Taylor wasn't a penalty, the "markers not square" call after the Broncos had lost the ball was bullshit, some of those 5th tackle penalties were bullshit, especially the first one. Out of the 9 or so penalties only about 3 were valid.
Titans are defending terribly and their kicking has been shit but that doesn't excuse the bad reffing we've been seeing.
I reckon Hoffman is going to be stuck on the wing the rest of his career, victim of his own success.
Just because the guys didn't go down hurt doesn't mean it isn't a high shot. The titans came in with a succession of tackles around that area so then the refs are looking for it and the titans delivered. Taylor got the shits and was on a mission to hurt someone.
The markers not square was an advantage played which was why it was late
2.
Formation of Scrum To form a scrum not more than three forwards of either team shall interlock arms and heads and create a clear tunnel at right angles to the touch line. The forward in the centre of a front row (i.e. the hooker) shall bind with his arms over the shoulders of the two supporting forwards. Not more than two second row forwards on each team shall pack behind their respective front rows by interlocking arms and placing their heads in the two spaces between the hooker and his front row forwards. The loose forward of each team shall pack behind his second row forwards by placing his head in the space between them. All forwards must pack with their bodies and legs at right angles to the tunnel and the upper parts of their bodies horizontal. Once the ball has been put in the scrum, no other player can lend his weight to it.
yes but the scrum was not ready to play.
they may have formed the scrum but technically there was no halfback so the scrum was incomplete, this is also because Storm had the feed so they werent ready to play.
I think the Ref blew time off but didnt realise the error then its was too late anyway.
not 100% certain but thats what i think happened.
TELEVISION networks say the promotion of gambling odds during live sports broadcasts will probably be banned in the next few weeks.
Free TV Australia, which represents all of Australia's commercial free-to-air television licensees, wants commentators and their guests to be prohibited from promoting live odds during a game, as well as for 30 minutes before and after the match.
A Brisbane woman has contacted Queensland police alleging she was physically assaulted by Te'o in the presence of fellow NRL players Corey Norman and Darius Boyd.
News Limited can reveal Norman, the Broncos fullback, made a 000 emergency call after the alleged incident, which left the woman with a black eye and facial injuries.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has told police she was punched by Te'o. On Monday, she conducted a tell-all interview with Channel Nine, which will be aired tonight.
In the interview, the woman claims: "I was laying in the hallway with blood everywhere ... I could have been dead for all they know."
I find it funny that Channel 9, the broadcaster of Rugby League have this exclusive. You don't really see 7 or 10 doing this with AFL, although AFL seems to cover up their incidents very well.
I guess she'll get a nice pay packet.
I hope this has been through the courts and players found guilty before they air this shit.
I saw that Ralph Harris one they had the other night and you kind of wonder why it's being aired on national TV instead of being done through the proper legal channels because surely it will make it 10x harder to do officially if it's played out in the media. If it's true and they have been found guilty then fair enough but if you air this shit beforehand surely there are serious defamation consequences.
Then again, responsibility isn't part of channel 9's curriculum, that's why law makers have to step in and tell them to stop encouraging problem gambling.
The "woman" hasn't even made a complaint to the PoPo
What was she doing alone in a house with 3 footballers she didn't know ?
Were they playing X-Box ?
Rumours... Rumours... Rumours...
Benjis been offered 650 000 a season for three years at the Waratahs (union)
The way he played last week he looked like a lazy Union back.
You see the interview on the Footy Show ?
I suspect he wont see out the season, might develop another "injury"
He sounded pretty cut about becoming Benchy.
you guys see Beau Ryan as SBW ?
that camera trick thing ROFL.
Broncos v Dogs is a tough one, I'm leaning towards dogs.
Although Dogs got thrashed last week they had a few solid weeks previous and I think they have a better chance of bouncing back at home. Neither side has their preferred goal kicker but Broncos are also missing Reed who has been a good scorer and even though Hodges is "back" he is apparently not 100% and is facing off against Josh Morris who has experience in shutting him down.
The one I'm most unsure about is Panthers v Dragons, Dragons are usually pretty tough at home and it looks like Dugan might just be the key to them scoring points. On the other hand Panthers have been surprisingly good the last 3 or 4 rounds.
is it just me or has there been 2 "lost balls" by the broncos that looked for all money like strips 1 to parker and 1 to hodges that didn't seem to even warrant a replay on tv?
