They are 1000 times better indoors, outdoor festivals sound quality is always not as good as indoor concerts.

Ticket price is reasonable, I paid $220 for Springsteen, $170 for Metallica etc so $135 is reasonable I think

Yeah weird, I just fixed it though not sure how it broke.

Ticket price is reasonable...

These tickets are reasonable when compared to the average cost but tickets prices in general are a joke. Saw Tool at BDO with heaps of other bands for like $150. - yet $135 for just them. Although you are dead on, their indoor shows demolish any possible festival performance.

Its nothing new though, seeing Nick Cave for like $110 and saw Radiohead for like $150 - its just getting harder and harder.

YAWN!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw them last year(?) and crikey they were boring(unerstatement). They are 1 of 3 bands that i've literally almost fallen asleep while at a concert.

I saw them in 2002/03 or whenever and later at a festival. Pretty much an on-rails experience. Much prefer NIN live.

Depends on the venue and how much control the artist has over the sound setup.

NIN at riverstage = absolute crap, very tinny.

At soundwave = one of the best acoustics I have ever heard at a festival/concert, and I was 50-100m away.

The record is expected sometime in 2013 and the band has promised Australian fans they'll be some of the first in the world to hear their new material at the shows.

Interesting!

As in heavily scripted and uninspiring, like Call of Duty.

However, you still have to experience it to not be "left out" ...

I guess it's better to be all rebellious against, because wherever you saw them the sound wasn't "calibrated" properly huh?

If it's your intention to eventually converge towards a coherent point or argument, right now would be a good time to start ...

If you don't enjoy a tool concert you're doing it wrong.

I've seen them at least 7 or 8 times and each time the sound quality is amazing, granted I didn't go to bdo when they played and I've seen them indoors each time in good venues

Well that was my problem when I saw them at the BDO, the sound was s***, could hardly hear MJK singing.

Given how your posts aren't making much sense, you're doing a poor job of it.

To back what up? Are you even arguing with the right person?
because wherever you saw them the sound wasn't "calibrated" properly huh?

I've never made any comments about the sound quality at a Tool event. Again, sounds like you're getting people in this thread mixed up.

Just because the sound quality is great doesn't mean the band is any good.
