EA's Medal of Honor series has been taken "out of rotation" following poor performance, cites EA COO, Peter Moore, who revealed the news during an earnings report overnight.
"The game was solid, but the focus on combat authenticity did not resonate with consumers," Moore said.
"Critics were polarised and gave the game scores which were frankly lower than deserved. This one is behind us now. We are taking Medal of Honor out of rotation and have to bring year-over-year continuity to our shooter offerings."
We
didn't necessarily agree with his sentiments regarding the "solid" part of the game, but hopefully DangerClose can move on to something else.
