Not working on my windows 8 vm either, just redirects to the chrome install page, even after the extension installed. Is it down now? cbf installing ff to try further
ok got it installed on osx, still redirects to the installation instructions though. must be down right?
Hulu is greatttt!! This is like the novelty of travelling to another country and turning on their TV to see how their ads are and how cool their shows are.
Awesome natslovR. Its also great for hard to find old shows. I dont by dvd's as a rule as i watch once and they collect dust until i give them away. So to be able to watch, say, Airwolf, from start to finish is excellant.
so looking in chrome it disables your ability configure proxy settings, so "how" much is going out via proxy, (internet banking?) ....
If it does proxy traffic, anything over https should still be secure. When the plugin is loaded goto http://lagado.com/proxy-test and see if it tells you that you're going through a proxy to confirm.
Hulu is what Foxtel Download should look like.
Its a poor imitation.
My Foxtel went up $3 :(
The price is too high and the content just too small.
Foxtel should have twice as many shows for the price.
and they keep advertising their Download sevice which is shit.
I didnt get PayTV to waste my internet on dl tv shows, if i did i would do it for free using BitTorrent.
oh well, HD Footy season coming :)
The mediahint extension is installed and enabled in chrome, but anytime I try to go to hulu, or netflix, or any of the other links here that apparently work, I get this error message
Unable to connect to the proxy server
A proxy server is a server that acts as an intermediary between your computer and other servers. Right now, your system is configured to use a proxy, but Google Chrome can't connect to it.
Here are some suggestions:
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings... > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox.
Error 130 (net::ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED): Proxy server connection failed.
But I can't change proxy settings as it says
Your network proxy settings are being managed by an extension.
This addon seems to slow down my browser a bit, specifically when first loading up it takes about 10 seconds to open my home page instead of being instant like it is when I have the addon disabled.
The chrome extension is very simple. It's just a forced proxy config to their servers. I would recommend using this in a disabled state for most surfing and enable only for watching Hulu or other streaming services.
