Yep. Smaller/Cheaper/Economical. Sick of owing money on cars and wasting my money. Also heading overseas and want the money. It's been a good car to me and I am sad to let it go. <3.

No thoughts yet. I am most likely going to buy a second hand car around the 3-5 k mark. I want something reliable (for the price...), easy for me to work on myself and also a car I can learn with! My mechanic skills could use improving. I was thinking about a toyota.

my new car does on the sticker 5.9, but my dash after 1200km's says 6.4 :(
Or in other words it's around $1 for every 10km's i drive @ 1.50 per L?
Better than the soarer she takes around 5 dollars every 10km. :s she's a bit unhealthy. Working on that now i can take it off the road though.

Hahaha love the close up of the sick exhaust! Just trying to get it sold mate :). I don't have a hard on for it, but it is a nice sounding exhaust and if you are into V8's, you would get it. Spook - What Corolla should I get? Will it come with a lifetime guarantee?

Toyota is one of the worst for warranty periods. Nissan offered me 4 years manufacturer warranty with 6 years on top dealership warranty. Hyundai offered me 5 years manufacturer warranty. Toyota offered me 3 and for a small fortune, an extension to 5.
Still took the toyota. :s

1. fill the car until the pump clicks off
2. reset trip meter
3. drive until car needs fuel
4. fill the car until the pump clicks off
5. Note how many litres the car took
6. note how many kilometers are on the trip meter
7. calculate (litres / kilometers)*100 = llitres per 100km.
8. profit.

not sure if its model specific, but i believe Toyota are offering 1 extra year Warranty (to 4years (still 100,000)).
The new Toyota Access looks pretty decent as well
choose car, choose deposit if any, choose how many years + km per year.
They say how much they will buy it back for, only pay loan on the difference, when loan ends, either payout balloon and keep/sell, swap for a new toyota.
Looking seriously at the Toyota Camry Hybrid Luxury late this year/early next.
5.5l /100km, and fairly decent build, 8 year battery warranty.
Last 2 cars have been toyota and they just seem bulletproof.

i believe there is a whoop model floating around that would be dreamy! White AE92. 16" mags 4AGE "100kw" version bluetooth / ipod head unit fuly sik 12" doof doof (parcel shelf was already there from previous owner, had a spare sub, figured why not) Needed to pass RWC: - 1 tyre - 1 brake light... pfft the thing has 5 fucking brake lights, like one missing is going to matter but apparently it does - new wiper blades and he reckons the CV boot is leaking, I reckon it's not, it's just all the grease coming out because I packed that fucker too full when I put it all back together and the excess grease has forced its way out. Either way I have a spare CV boot I'm contemplating putting on if it is broken, otherwise it just needs cleaning off. Also have a big box full of spare shit and the 4 original 14" alloy rims, 2 with near new tyres, spare instrument cluster, spare facia and a spare ECU. Also have a spare head and cam covers.

I dunno, you see them all over carsales for $1500 - $5000, I was thinking somewhere in the middle. Maybe stick 2 or 3k on it and let someone haggle a bit. There's always that guy who rocks up & goes "I'll give you $1900 cash right now".
I've got about 12 more days to fix the crap on it & get the final inspection done before I can sell it rego'd though.

Its not about the environment, it's about the money. I sat down and worked out how much it was costing me and there is more to life than cars I decided. Plus I have to grow up and become more responsible, I am even consolidating my super. So many chores to do. Getting older is no fun.

The new Toyota Access looks pretty decent as well There is two ways to look at this: 1) The car is basically a mobile phone plan, you go from model to model. 2) The car is on a huge balloon lease, where after 4 years you restart the whole thing, kind of like a lease car but without any salaray sacrifice lowering of income etc. I basically couldn't figure whether to go 0% for 4 years or toyota access for 4, but i guess it works like this: if you keep your car low KM's and clean, you probably would be better off selling it outright after 4 years for more than the balloon is worth. But you did pay upfront money to get there. So you have to discount the cost back to compare. It's actually a really complicated thing, so in the end i went with the good finance rate and outright ownership after 4 years, because all the figures are too guesstimatey to use finance calculations with any kind of meaning. Just understand that you never own the car unless at the end of the 4 year access you pay out the 8k or 16k or whatever the agreed final value is. Edit: don't worry bro i'm not about to sell my car for some eco-shitter Well, if this is Pave's advice, what could possibly go wrong..........

apart from upgrading to a gtr of some kind at some point or maybe a 335i or a audi s5 down the track as a daily
i guess it depends on 2 thing:
1. how much you really like cars
2. if you know you'll be capable of earning enough money to do boring responsible shit and own a not-boring car at the same time

Maybe nf will finally respect me :P I was sitting at the lights in my fully sick corolla (from previous page) and an xr6 turbo owner (it was blue) was so jealous when the lights went green he pinged it off the rev limiter just to get in front of me. Then proceeded to go granny pace around all the corners and as soon as another straight came BAMF! rev limiter. what a fucken tool. There might also have been a dragon

FG series 1.
Only serious complaint so far would be the ZF gearbox in it. I gotta get mine look at because the change down from 2 to 1 is sloooooow when cold. In semi-auto mode the gear change is OK, so I assume the electronic timing settings on it need work.
Otherwise the car acts just like you would expect when you plonk a turbo on an xr6. 270kw, still handles like a boat :P
I don't see many other xr6 turbos getting around tbqh

Yeah barely any xr8s getting around. The falcon is a dying model. No more past 2016 apparently. no quite, that is a media bit trolled out at the end of every falcon model life since the EL sure, the future is unsure, but the falcon is the longest running large car, and the only one left with a true link to the sports cars of the 60's 70's after all, pretty sure the falcon (if you go by early media releases) should be a small front wheel drive car by now

Yeah, this isn't totally correct. No more falcon as a unique model, it'll be a mustang based falcon.
So it's just going back to the 60's and 70's shared-model essentially.
