Am I the only one who ever sees this? Usually late at night. Sometimes it happens when I try to load a thread, sometimes the main forum and now I just got it trying to post something. I call shenanigans upon you all.

I get a website not found type error with Ausgamers sometimes. Although it happens with iinet Bob1. Now that I have Bob2 it doesn't happen at all. It could be a DNS issue, I'm not sure if it using the same one.
Usually I just hit refresh and the page loads. Only with Ausgamers though.

I've always had issues over the years with loading pages on ausgamers but no other sites. Recently it has changed to that Page tho which is fun :-)
I tend to open multiple threads at a time but usually have to refresh pages about half the time. Sometimes most load sometimes most don't load.
I've moved houses, isps and modems/routers but no biggie as others have said refreshing usually brings them up just don't refresh more than 3 at a time.

Anyone notice Faceman is missing during the time the website is down? Curious *furrows brow*
(But yes, I've been getting it too)

the screenie whoop posted happens when the cdn we're using doesn't have a cached copy of the page you requested, and can't fetch the page for you for whatever reason
trog's had a ticket open with them for a week or so trying to resolve it. practically every time it happens, we can always load the site directly so we know the site itself is usually available when cloudflare is saying it's not
database backups are done 'hot' at varying times after business hours, and don't generally interfere with the website availability (unless the system is already loaded and the extra i/o load from the backup happens to slow it down to the point it's noticeable)

Yeah it's instantly fixed with a refresh, might scare away new visitors though.
It used to be that any time between 2 and 5am the entire forum became unresponsive and often didn't update posts, which has gone away, so new AG > old AG.

Also, how good is cloudflare! We put one of our lead gen sites on it and load times were cut down by 3/4.

I've had a DNS problem for about 2 months now. Cbf trying to figure it out.
You've requested a page on a website (ausgamers.com.au) that is on the CloudFlare network. Unfortunately, CloudFlare is currently unable to resolve your requested domain (ausgamers.com.au). There are two potential causes of this:
Most likely: if the owner just signed up for CloudFlare it can take a few minutes for the website's information to be distributed to our global network. Check back in about 5 minutes and the site should be up and running and enjoying all the benefits of CloudFlare.
Less likely: something is wrong with this site's configuration. Usually this happens when accounts have been signed up with a partner organization (e.g., a hosting provider) and the provider's DNS fails.

If it's of any benefit, pre-cloudflare I used to get problems trying to load up the forums. It'd just show a server not responding page, but click refresh a few seconds later and it would pop up again.

i get it too. i thought it was a virus That was my main concern, DNS hijack or something. As long as I know it's a genuine site I'll just ignore it since it only seems to happen once in a while and usually late at night.

appfabric for local caching is pretty win, worth having a look into.
