Pretty cool idea. Not sure if I'd bother though to be honest.

Problem with these kinds of things are they make you buy s*** you otherwise wouldn't. Apps typically are that cheap that if I need something I'll just pay then and there.

That said, I totally get the appeal of it and it does look very promising... just not for me.

Android: Llama - Location Profiles

http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kebab.Llama

Llama is an app for switching phone profiles based on conditions, its most powerful condition is what mobile phone tower you're currently connected to, for example I've configured my phone so that on Monday to Friday when I enter the suburb Albion (more specifically the mobile phone tower servicing the area around my work) it switches my phone to silent mode for the office, and then back to normal when I leave Albion.

You can do a bunch of other stuff eg on connection to specific Wifi Routers or bluetooth devices, or timed events.

Fix your link mass, it's missing a : in https.

Only app I bought is Sleep As Android. It's meant to wake you up when you're out of deep sleep. It continually gets updates and it's alarm system is great, you can set several different CAPTCHA methods to make sure you are awake. QRcode scanning, answering math questions, shaking the phone.

What, you're not going to get far with a base install of any phone OS, unless all you want to do is call your nan

If all you do is install the same set of apps on every phone, and not random stuff, do you still need a virus scanner? I see avg or avast or maybe both have a freebie virus scanner for android. I've only got droidwall on there as an iptables frontend which is good because you can tell certain apps to only connect when you're using wifi.

Hilarious post not testing his own link even after posting so never noticing that his too was missing a column. :P

try [a href="https://"]https://[/a] because ausgamers believes after 10 years that we still shouldn't ever link to a secure site :P

What do you mean 'get far'. It should have phone, time, and alarm. And don't get me started on phones having an "OS" nowadays.
