While PC and PlayStation 3 players will be waiting until early 2013 for their versions, Bethesda has today announced that Xbox 360 owners of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim are now able to access the next major downloadable content expansion, titled Dragonborn.

The new expansion gives players access to a large amount of new content, including the chance to visit the island of Solstheim, which is located off the coast of Morrowind. Those of you looking to ride a dragon or two will also be happy to know that is possible in the Dragonborn DLC.
With Dragonborn, journey off the coast of Morrowind, to the island of Solstheim. Encounter new towns, dungeons, and quests, as you traverse the ash wastes and glacial valleys of this new land. Become more powerful with shouts that bend the will of your enemies and even tame dragons. Your fate, and the fate of Solstheim, hangs in the balance as you face off against your deadliest adversary – the first Dragonborn.
Available for purchase off Xbox Live, eager participants will find it for priced at 1600 Microsoft Points.

So over Bethesda/Microsoft Xbox 360's 30 day exclusivity deal they have going, was supposed to be the 1st 2 DLC's, that was apparently a lie.

Not like Bethesda needs the money that Microsoft must be stuffing in their coffers for this deal and Bethesda as a company doesn't seem to give a crap they piss off 2 thirds of their player base. Especially when in interviews Todd waxes lyrical at how the PC market is where they came from and are PC people at heart. (That's why in the Oblivion and Skyrim making of videos you clearly see them controlling the game with the xbox controller...lol)

Have to feel for the PS3 users they haven't had any of the DLC's yet due to problems getting them to run on their system.
