It's finally available to play... but in true DICE fashion, they've managed to fuck it up. Not only did it release late, but those of you that manage to download the 3.9gig patch\addon prior to the release, you now have to do it again... at swell congested speeds. This is appaling. GG

Well I've just got back from the gym... been downloading since 930am. Still only 39% completed. Having said that I usually top out at around 800k/sec and I'm only getting ~400k/sec. Fuck me how hard is it?

how is anyone shocked at this, it isn't like this has been the worlds easiest games to play

hell, every patch/update has been huge and slow due mostly to size, but as the servers are getting more traffic thru orgin, it those blistering speeds at launch have been slowing too

just fired up origin... apparently i have a 4gig bf3 update and then 4gigs for aftermath? WTF MATE.

At least its pulling down at a 1meg a sec...

Tried downloading the update earlier tonight and it was slow as shit.

Maps get my thumbs up, scavenger mode on the other hand can lick my balls... only reason to play that will be to unlock the xbow. I had a great time last round, random spawning into insta death. Was awesome. About 5 times in a row, spawn / dead. Quick swap to the winning team when there's only a few tickets to get my 3 wins up in scav mode for the unlock and i'm outy...

Is it me or is BF3 dead? I was thinking of getting the premium copy seeing as it's on special. But over the past 2 days I've only seen 3 populated hardcore servers... when I was playing a few months back there were heaps of servers. Just holiday decline or something or is the player base in decline?

Not as busy as it used to be. I think I am done with it really. All this DLC and what not. If I need a multiplayer shooter fix I will probably play PS2 or something.

It's Dead to me and a few mates who used to smash it Twisted.

Planetside 2 has [the] peoples [I know] interest currently.
Tho for me, that's quickly wearing off too. Takes too damned long to earn certs, and I'm not paying for a multi-player FPS that is SO inconsistent between playing sessions.

BF4 is on the horizon... maybe it can ween me completely off 'modern FPS' games.

Yeah, I just got off playing PS2. I might play it once and a while, just got a bit boring. NS2 is pretty mad, got it for $9 on the steam sales. Cool, well middle finger to BF3 Premium then.

Was a bit dispointed loading BF3 up the other day only to find it pretty dead, wanted to check out some of the new stuff but all the servers runnign expansions were empty and this was during peak times.

I'd play more planetside 2 but its annoying shit getting into the game only to find it to be a cluster fuck of dis-organised shitstorms 90% of the time.

bf3 servers in europe a rife with hacking now too, over the last month apparenty a new diamond hack is doing the rounds and yeah it just kills the game..

ps2 is ok here though, most people speak diffeent languages but its good sometimes in squads and there are usually waypoints, and its just works

It does not help that they try and shove premeium crap in your face. Plus all the exclusive timed premeium thing is annoying. They went about it the wrong way, Plus only new weapon this DLC is the crossbow.
