Almost 30 years ago, the original Karateka was released by Jordan Mechner - a project he hacked together on an Apple II in his college dorm room between classes. It was a huge success and ended up being ported to a wide variety of systems; I remember dumping many, many hours into this when I was a kid on our Apple system.
Jordan went on to create the Prince of Persia series, but hasn't forgotten the joy Karateka brought to many - and today sees the launch of a new Karateka game for a modern age. The reboot offers cinematic gameplay tied together with a rhythm-based karate combat, a dynamic musical score and multiple paths through the game.
It's currently 10% off to celebrate the launch so dive over to Steam to
pick it up for USD$8.99. We've got more info, screenshots and trailers on our
