Havent checked my DLs but this has happened to me twice in the past so im surprised it hasnt happened again.

Both times the foreign call centre was useless but when i called again and somehow got the aus call centre they immediately were aware of the problem and fixed it.

Thats why i gave bigpoo the flick. Fuck they were useless when it came to support especially the Phillipino call centre. I was helping them sort their shit out most of the time ffs.

I wish i could, but i'm on a RIM (In fucking toowong!!?? i actually didn't know before i moved here) so i'm on cable. Good speeds, never seem to have issues until something dumb goes wrong. Which is every 2 months or so. Basically it's exactly as i feared so my expectations haven't been dashed.

Friend on the other hand has been with an internet connection dropping 30% of his packets for two weeks with no ETA from telstra. They promise to reimburse him based on the time taken to fix it. Good job T-boned.

This happened to a dude at work as well he said Tel$tra have made it unlimited bandwidth for the rest of the month as a way of saying sorry. I'm assuming this is for everyone.

not everyone's usage resets at the end of the month. mine does it on the 2nd of every month.

I too am stuck on telstra cable. I *CAN* get ADSL but I was told (unofficially) that the max speed people in my area seem to get is around twice that of 56k dialup. Fuck that noise. I'd rather go wireless, I get about 5mbit / s on my phone's 3g.

I've not had any major issues with telstra for ages though. The last issue was when I didn't get uncapped at the end of the month. Rang them up, got the foreign call center, woman said yep we're switching accounts to a new system, something got messed up, you'll be uncapped in a few minutes. Lo and behold, full speed ahead.

The only real gripe I have is that I only have cable with them so no discounts and their price / quota is shocking. 70bux a month for 25gig. lolwut.
