Originally released in 2003, PlanetSide was a game that Sony Online Entertainment truly struck gold with, showcasing that huge battles in open-world environments were chaotic and fun. Fast-forward to 2012 and Sony has just recently launched the sequel to the MMOFPS, PlanetSide 2, and continues to cram thousands of people on to servers for hectic on-foot and in-the-air battles.
With Australian servers being available on release, the promise of true chaotic warfare and great teamplay gameplay, is PlanetSide 2 ready for your help? There really is no excuse not to try Planetside 2, especially as the only cost is your gaming time. Be warned though, this is a very addictive game, and it could spoil your previous favourite shooter with its incredible sense of scale.
