Power of One author Bryce Courtenay dead at 79 - http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-11-23/bryce-courtenay-dead-at-79/4388010

The South African-born Courtenay, who moved to Australia in the 1950s, had been suffering from stomach cancer.

The Power of One was a great book and a good movie too. It starred Stephen Dorff (Blade/Felon) and Morgan Freeman.

I enjoyed the power of one when I read it. Read a couple of his other books and did not enjoy them.

Did you read Tandia? It was the sequel to Power of One and was quite good.

The Potato Factory wasn't bad. Very hard to top Power of One though.
