Just saw this and wondered if anyone knows anything about it. It looks pretty unstable and more importantly still a long way from the hoverboards promised in Back to the Future III.

Are we far from driving landspeeders? Would a landspeeder be better than a car?

Can't see too many downsides... just wear a BASE parachute and strap some pillows on while flying the prototypes
