A guy from my brothers work copped a similar one in the valley. Broke his jaw and knocked some teeth out.
It was pretty disappointing - we were out for a good night with all the staff, we all got into a maxi taxi to leave and said party on back at our place then leave from there cause we were living at albion (ie not too far from the valley).
He said he was going to go home and walked around the block to get a taxi that was facing southbound.
In the time it took him to walk around the block he got kinghit from behind - completely unprovoked. CCTV caught it all but I still don't think they caught the guy that did it

In my first or second week living in London, I was on a packed bus, and this pack of little teenage shits all got on at one stop. Most of them walked straight onto the back of the bus to avoid paying, swearing, pushing the manual door close button, etc. When they went to get off a few stops later, one of them was standing behind a woman carrying a baby. She was taking too long to get off for this shit's liking, so the cunt PUSHED her off the back of the bus. My natural instinct was to grab him by the collar and ram him into wall. I yelled in his face something like 'YOU DO NOT PUSH WOMEN' (lame I know) but I had a fairly decent size advantage over him, so wasn't really concerned about the exact words at that stage. My friends who had been living in London for a while looked at me nervously and all started making gestures to the effect of 'let him go'. Afterwards they said a lot of these shits carry knives and there were still some standing behind me. Pretty naive of me I guess.
I saw lots of other thuggish shit while I was there. I saw a guy get randomly king hit in Temple Bar in Dublin once. Thankfully the guy didn't go down and just shook it off. But completely random, unprovoked act.
The Government needs to start up some secret police force that gets rid of people on the dole for more than a year and other unsavory types. If I was in charge things would be a lot different.
Yeah London can be pretty dangerous if you're not careful; that vid was just near Bromley-by-Bow which is a pretty shitty area. I live a few miles west in Shoreditch, still East London though. Having said that, I've lived here 8 years now, never been mugged, threatened, in a fight or even seen a big fight. (Touch wood) I've lived all over London too, even in Peckham which is a pretty rough place. Generally, though not always of course, the violence is optional and/or gang related, so if you avoid it you're fine.
I definitely found the general level of aggression/threat on a night out to be far greater in Brisbane then in London.
While we're sharing stories, my uncle copped this a few yeas back. Some footballers celebrating a win king hit him from behind for no reason, he ended up with a plate in he cheek. Maybe this is pretty common.

this one is worse, but we can compare it to other horrible ones like those aljezeera beheadings in 2004. seems tame in comparison but it doesnt't make it any less disgusting to watch.
Man I've never had any trouble in London. SW London reppin. Plus we got this awesome chicken feed joint when you come out maggets at 4am ready for mad feed. Free backstreet boys with every meal.
