thermite: if you liked Superman II but disliked how it was obviously butchered as fuck and as inconsistent in tone as an early 90s Michael Jackson see the Richard Donner cut. There are some rough inserts (two scenes stand out in particular) but if you can look past them you might find it the much better version. One of the greatest changes is Marlon Brando is back in as Jor El in the FoS scenes instead of the mother and he has some great lines and moments (his glare at Lois is just brilliant).

Do try it.

Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut was very enjoyable, lots of awesome moments we missed out on in the original. Apart from the plot continuing from the non-rewinded version of Earth in Superman 1, I don't understand how someone looked at what they'd done and decided it was unacceptable and had to be reshot.

saw the dark knight rises recently. it was pretty good, but i think the dark knight was the best movie in the trilogy.

Watched The dark knight rises yesterday. Pretty good movie overall. I still want to deck Christan Bale every time he does the batman voice. Bane was awesome, I want to sounds like that every time I talk.

After watching Batman Begins on tv a few weeks back, it made me realise how little there is of actual Batman in the Dark Knight Rises. That still doesn't sit quite right with me =\
