we got hit pretty hard but no damage or anything. i think some lightning hit outside because it was the loudest explosion of thunder i've ever heard.

North west got hammered. I was driving from Keperra to Alderley and it went from spitting to the hardest rainfall I've ever witnessed in the space of 2 minutes. Could not see out of the car at all, had to stop on (what I assumed was) the side of the road for a while. None of the drains could cope so the left hand lane of Enoggera Road was a river. When I was stopped at lights my car was leaning left from the wind...
My normally quiet street was like a carpark from all the people turning off Enoggera Road to wait out the storm. Had to weave around them all to just get down the street to my house.
I'd left my windows open so I came home to a bit of a swamp. My pet lizards who live outside on the balcony were clever though, tucked up asleep under a wooden box :D

Yeah, epic thunder and lightning and rain on south side (mt gravatt). Didn't get any pictures though because I was busy trying to sleep in after a late night, which wasn't easy given the circumstances.

I had this once while towing my boat home.. rain was so bat shit intense that i couldnt see past half way across the bonnet.. i just stopped and put on my haz lights till it passed.. it was on a dirt road so i couldnt pull off.. but everyone else around had the same idea and stopped as well
i miss the good ole brissy storms

My apartment balcony overlooks the Kelvin Grove markets.
I was standing there just watching absolute havoc unfold. The way sheets of rain meant you could see the wind gusts roll in, followed by screaming and marquees flying everywhere, was like watching a scene from a movie.
As this was happening I guess karma decided to punish my gawking by blowing a bedroom window open and completely drenching half the room.

i was drenched and then these huge wind gusts almost froze me.

North lakes weather has been crazy. Has been tonnes of loud thunder and lightning with minimal rain for most of today apart from a tonne of rain for a short time a little while ago and some insane winds around 1am this morning. And inbetween the thunder and lightning today, bouts of sunlight.

As the storm passed over my house last night as the sun was setting, it was real strange that the colour of the sky went from yellow, to a burnt orangey colour and then to bright pink all within 30 minutes.

Assessor came out today, over 100 roof tiles were broken during the storm, and 1 window cracked :(
Looks like most of the neighbours have similar kind of roof damage
