Safe Shooting alternatives - Kids - XBOX360

Hi

I was looking for a good quality shooting game that would be good for kids. I found a good option I thought Greg Hastings paintball 2 however I have searched and due to zoning I can't get it here in Australia.

Read reviews of NPPL paintball but they weren't to promising.

Does anyone know of a good shooting game I can enjoy but that isn't too graphic for my kids so they can join in too?

Using XBOX360.

^^ ignore him he thinks VB is beer.

hard to think of any off hand, might be worth posting over at xbox forums where there's more of a dedicated console crowd.

CTD, I'm sure there was a prefectly good reason, you probably just needed a key.

The Gears of War series would be suitable. You only shoot aliens and animals, so it's not able to desensitize children to murder of humans due to political or religious differences, like BF and MW can with children struggling developmentally. Co-op mode would allow you to monitor and appropriately counsel them during the game experiences as well.

No it wouldn't be. What about you and your squad members getting shot?

Either way that sort of visceral violence is not suitable for a child.

What about that new South Park game coming out? That's a cartoon rite guyz??!1

That's like trying to convince the government that zombies aren't real so they should leave all the violence in those games, but you never win.
My first shooting game was duck hunter and I've never shot a duck IRL. I play shooters all the time and I'm fine just doesn't cut it anymore. I say sit down with your kids and explain to em (if they are old enough to understand) its only a game and stuff like that should stay in games and you should be fine playing whatever shooter you want, like Halo (bland enough for kids IMO).

If your kids are too young to handle violence then dont let them play shooting games of any kind. Just give them mario party on any platform...that will keep them happy until they turn 12.

Yeah the Mario games would definitely be the way to go. A Wii and a heap of classic games from the online store would be perfect.

I don't think anything to do with shooting is a good idea. Shooting is for adults.

Banjo Kazooie and Tooie are on XBMC though. They're awesome!

Orcs Must Die. Not sure if you can turn off the gore though or Orcs Must Die 2. Still its rated T for teen so there you go.

Either that or just get them Minecraft on the XBOX 360.

Shootmania would fit perfectly in the non graphic shooter category though it's not out yet and I have no idea if it's going to be released on the Xbox360.
