Saw a trailer for Lone Survivor which looks awesome and it reminded me of a game I played years ago.

I can't for the life of me remember the name of it, so I was hoping someone else has played it.

It was a 16 bit, 3rd person game
You were playing from the perspective of a private detective who came across these murders and strange, haunted houses
And it switched from normal looking rooms to horror, blood filled and fucking scary ass shit without warning;
You had to look for clues to make things normal again...
You came across other people, sometimes and they had no idea what was going on
I remember a scene with a pool, you turn around and then there's a dead body in it

It is driving me crazy not knowing what this game was!

There were a few episodes or games as well.

Please help if you can :/

Silent Hill 2?

I'm pretty sure it wasn't silent hill, but i'll youtube and see if it is.

It had a fairly indie type feel to it.

Nah. I played it at a friend's house, on her shitty toshiba laptop 4 years ago. it might be an emulated game.

Ah. Good ol' Trilby. He was a character alright.
