Fuck you guys are pussies. Are you the type of people who whinge and whine if they hear a spoiler? 13 minutes, maybe, of a two and a half hour movie. Yeah, it totally ruins it. Stop whinging you stupid bastards. And most of this is behind the scenes shit. Fuck you guys are whinging fags. Seriously. lol
Question about Gold Class: so I hear you can order drinks and food while the movie is playing via their staff coming to your seat. How is this done in a way that doesn't annoy the fuck out of me? Wouldn't people have to use their stupid movie interrupting voices to order things? Plus all the staff moving around bringing them things... I feel this would intrude on my Dark Knight Rises experience.
You order it before you go in and give them the times you want it brought out at. So like, take a beer in with you, order another for 45 minutes into the movie, order another an hour and a half in, etc.
Its not too distracting when they're bringing stuff in, the seats are pretty spaced out and the isles are huge, so the waiters are never really in your way.
what khel said. before the movie you order your food/drinks and what time you want them to bring it too you. most of the time i'm so engrossed in the movie i hardly notice the servers until they give me my food.
Gold Class is awesome fun, and all the ordering is done beforehand so the waiters just bring it all out discretely. I also order a Depends adult diaper if it's one of the longer movies.
I didn't hate it. But I thought it was extremely disjointed if that makes sense. The whole Harvey Dent thing was dumb. And so was the bomb thingy on the boats. Apart from that it was quite good. And I wanna see how it ends so that's why I would like to see this.
EDIT: When I say Harvey, I mean the Two Face bit from the hospital onwards.
Yeah its gone :( Dunno what the story is, cos I can't imagine they were going broke or anything, the place was always full of people and was the perfect place to grab a pre or post movie brew.
Apart from the bit he was in hospital for like 2 minutes and the joker says something like put a little anarchy in your life and he instantly changes from a law abiding citizen to vengeful person thingy. Totally ridiculous. The movie would have been better if he didn't become Two Face I think.
But there was foreshadowing. After Gordon was 'shot' he stole an ambulance and kidnapped one of the guys, taking him to some dark alley and threatening him with a gun. He worked throughout the whole movie with a vigilante, condoning the kidnap of a foreigner from their own country so he could help him out with his case in Gotham. He posed as Batman, putting the lives of all of his arrest party and himself at risk to try and flush out the Joker.
The point I am making is that he wasn't a law abiding citizen, he was a little bit crazy and willing to break the rules for what he considered to be the greater good. When Rachel was killed it made all those sacrifices meaningless to him, so he went out and sought revenge on the people he deemed responsible. I didn't find anything dumb about it at all.

They don't call it a psychotic break because it happens slowly. Its not a psychotic flex and bend, its a sudden snap.
How did Joker rig a whole hospital to blow up without anyone noticing?
Remember that the Joker had a rather large army. He had the power and cash of all the organised crime in the city behind him, and also the backing of the crazies that broke out of Arkham in Begins.
The city was also in a state of chaos all throughout the movie. With the Joker's manpower and his unlimited funds, it is not unbelievable in movie terms for him to have gradually installed enough explosives into the hospital to blow it up. Nolan's Batman has a realistic tone, but it also has spectacular elements to keep the audience guessing and then hit them with the unexpected. The Joker's 'thing' in the movie was his ability to set up situations with foresight that is almost superhuman. Think of his attack on Dent when he posed as Batman, his attempt on the Mayor's life, the killing of Rachel. These were all very complicated acts but they all fit the tone of the movie. What also helped was Ledger's fucking dynamite performance. He was seriously fucking good in TDK.
Getting more and more excited everyday. Breaking Bad season 5 starts on Sunday too.
Why can't christian bale just talk like his bruce wayne character as batman. None of the other batman characters change their voice into this ridiculously deep crappy voice. ARGH. It almost ruins the entire trilogy. almost.
I've booked my tickets for tightarse Tuesday next week - booked last night and as soon as telling one of the people I'd booked a ticket for, got told "I can't go, I'm busy". Sigh.
Village are showing Begins at 6:30 tonight and Dark Knight at 8:45. Tempted to go.
