you know sometimes it is best to shut your pie hole rather than make yourself look like a lame dick.
I'm sorry I must have missed the part where – as a politician – it's lamer to do some shitty embarrassing song and dance than it is to lack the brain power to either answer a question or walk away.
Regardless of the merits of the question, he's a politician who will need to make very important decisions for the future of the country. If his best effort in the face of a relatively insignificant question is to stand there silently twitching with a serial killer-rapist look on his face for a minute straight then you'll forgive me for having some grave concerns.
Silence is best as it is hard to broadcast. If he walks off they have some planned things to call out to make you look bad, "Tony, why are you dodging this issue?" ect.
What a total load of rubbish to say a response that is hard to broadcast is best. How about a strong, confident, well thought out response that is actually worth broadcasting? He just looks weak and confused in the video.
The better response would have been to immediately repeat his statement that the question was inapporpriate or unwarranted and that he had already given the answer he felt appropriate. Instead of standing there in silence for the better part of a minute and then doing that.
On the other hand, the
best response would have been to actually explain why it was inappropriate beyond the empty memorised script statement that they "shouldn't be turning it into a media circus". Is it too much to ask for politicians with actual individual thinking brains?
