Sony announce Okami HD coming to PS3

So some of you may of heard that this awesome ps2/wii game is going to be given the HD makeover and made with Move support later this year. Excellent I say. I adored this game on the Wii and am upset I never got to finish it due to my sister taking the entire system when she moved out.

Anyway that aside here are some comparison shots, mind you they aren't very big images.

Nice, its a game I always wanted to play but never got around to. Hopefully it can work without needing Move though, cos I don't want to buy one of those useless pieces of shit.

It was a PS2 game, I don't see why they'd make the Move mandatory.

Ah cool, I couldn't remember if it came out on Wii or PS2 first

The 'move' controllers aren't *that* expensive at sale times, and the PS Camera is actually a pretty decent webcam (with drivers available for PC etc) on it's own.

But I understand where you're coming from.
It was on PS2 first, but as a mechanic of the game there are certain Japanese characters (maybe hiragana/katakana, maybe...) and when I first played it on PS2 the concept of the game was sure cool, but trying to write those alphabet char's with analogue sticks wasn't much chop.

It'd probably be better with Move or on a Wii.

Painting on the Wii was much better, but at the cost of having to shake that god awful nun-chuk to attack/defend(?). The attacking with the wii-mote waggle wasn't much better. I'd much prefer a button. Maybe a Wii-U version would have the best of both worlds; a touch screen for painting and buttons for fights, + HD visuals.

this'd prolly be the best game I played on the Wii.

it worked fine on the Dolphin Emu for the PC. Might be worth chasing down, as old scratched disks that won't play in the Wii have less problems on PC drives. You'd need one of those cheapie PC bluetooth adapters for your Wii remote though.

Yeah, its more that it would be a huge waste since thats the only game I would be using it for.

Only a few PC drives can read Wii discs properly. It's far easier to rip the game to a USB stick on the Wii. You just need the Homebrew Channel and CleanRip.

Even bigger bummer is that even the Wii emulator can't run Okami without major glitches and bugs so right now there is no real way to play an HD version. Don't worry though because here are some high res shots that were released, showing off what it will look like. Since they are 1920x1080 i'll just link them below
