Anyone else noticing how few people are on Facebook these days? It seems the novelty is wearing off, people are caring less about what their friends are doing "Having a great day with _____ and _____" and just getting too busy with other things in life.

It might not even be that Facebook is slowly moving toward a "hey, pay for this" model, it's just had its time.

Next you're going to be saying that those two people who liked my status, one of whom I haven't seen for ten years and the other who I don't even remember meeting, aren't my best friends. And it will hurt.

Though it's a good idea for preventing spamming, if a fanpage or person has something important to announce without it getting lost in the stuff. :/

The only time that I've ever played a sport in my life was when there was a facebook group for it, take that computers-make-people-stay-inside people. (although it was moreso about being cashed up and loose with money at the time, still will defend the precious :P)

there's no way to block those kinds of taggings without blocking the friend doing it.

I would just block the 'friend' and call it a day.

Not sure what's going on there. My browser is in German but if I go to Google I get redirected to google.com.au so they know where I'm at. Why Facebook thinks I'm in the UK I have no idea.

my facebook seems fine, lots of interesting people doing and saying interesting things, posting cool photos or interesting clips, with lots of amusing conversations and comments.

there does seem to be a slightly high number of annyoing positive affirmations, if it continues, ill simply block that shit and move on.

My facebook experience is way better after I deleted my friends list down to people that I see all the time, see regularly and enjoy their company in a social setting, and people who don't live locally that I want to stay in contact with. I was sick of reading passive-aggressive friend-zone bitching from dickheads who I don't like. The problem was I'd get friend requested by these people and feel rude about not accepting it, and the list of people on my frienemies list would just grow and grow. Now I just ignore them and deal with the rude feeling :P

Makes facebook way better.

i have about 80-90 (down from about 370) friends on fb but i am sucribed to alot of cool shit. So i only see stuff from people i actually know and want on fb that dont spam the crap out of annoying shit. the second they do, bam deleted and if they ask why i just say because your shit is annoying.

My feed is awesome, im subscribed to alot of car feeds (top gear, downshift, drift style, speedhunters, toms hardware, meme 18+, jess nigri fan page, melanie iglaises, see more, greedy racing, fullboost, toyota ft86, jeremy clarkson, carbon fibre gear, etc).. come to think of it my fb is pretty awesome i hardly seen friends posts because of all the sweet videos and pics put up by everything else.

So yeah fb is what you make of it.

Rev/Shaexen, FB is what you make of it. I don't update people on my every move at all. I just post interesting shit I find around the net mostly, and a lot of people like and comment on the articles/vids/whatever I post so that approach seems to be pretty well received.

Yeah I just use my FB to stalk family members mostly, and to keep in contact with old friends from school/tafe. Depends how bored/angsty I am as to how much I post myself. Sometimes I'll go weeks without saying anything, other times I'll post random shit a couple of times a day.

My PhD supervisor doesn't have a mobile phone and I can tell you it's just fucking annoying when something doesn't go to plan - late meeting cancellation or whatever. No way to contact the bastard half the time.
