Anyone recommend any off beat or unusual Paris sightseeing adventures? I've got a day to kill and have done almost all the usual stuff. Help a brother out.

Eurodisney. Without a doubt.

Alternatively, catacombes were one of the best things I did on my own away from a group situation. Will take you a little while to get in and then to do the full tour, but well worth it.

Otherwise a walking/cycling/segway tour could also be cool.

What have you done?

Go for a walk through Le Marais if you haven't already (near St Paul on Metro line 1).

If you're into art at all obviously the museums are great. I assume you've done the Louvre but if you haven't, you should.

Buying a bottle of wine & some cheese and camping out on Champ de Mars in front of the Eiffel tower (if the weather is good) is cool.

If you have time to do a day trip to Versailles, do it - it is about an hour on the train and going to see the Chateau is totally worth it.

Where are you staying?

Awesome movie.

I found it frustrating, as it felt like the whole thing was one giant improbable "HA! I TOLD YOU SO! I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO." :(

Go to a train station, find a place outside of Paris and go there for the day.

- I agree with Spook.

Don't think so much. It's Liam Neeson wrecking cunts.

Yep Catacombs good, also Musee d'Orsay if you're into art.

Père Lachaise is a cemetery with a lot of famous people buried including Jim Morrison from the Doors (plus loads of others).

Meh, not a liam neeson fan. Prefer old school bad asses like bruce willis, arnie, stallone etc to wreck cunts. The movie was still good though. Havent seen that wolf one yet.

Paris? Hmm go to the Louvre, if you've been then leave the city to somewhere nice. Preferably not in France.

if you only have 1 day in paris you can't do much anyway, just get a ticket on the hopon hopoff bus and you can go to all of the main sights in the day.

i was there about a month ago, couldn't get over how dodgy the place was... especially around gare du nord (eurostar station) and the paris metro in general. gypsys everywhere, pickpockets everywhere, busy as fuck, dodgy people.. not a friendly place at all.

Went to les invalides, saw napoleons tomb. Off to some sweet club tonight called 'le Barron' to see Purity Ring play.

We are staying on Saint Germain (in the 7th?) and having a great time!

Depends when you're there, but if you've never been - go to Clos Montmartre. It is the only remaining Vineyard within the Paris city limits and is a really cool place to visit.

There are bettert times of year for it, but its pretty good all the time.

In the second week of October they have La Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre, which is a celebration of the wine harvest and they also havea Fête des Jardins which is in Autumn.

Oh yeh. Berthillon is rad. Amorino is OK but Berthillon edges it out I reckon.

One of the fav things i did in Paris was a bike tour.

Luckily for us it was August so Europes holiday season so Paris was not too busy. Was the first time i had ridden a bike in like 10 years.

Got to see heaps of nice back streets, buildings and parks.

Can't remember what company we used but here is one it might be.
http://fattirebiketours.com/paris

Did same in Amsterdam which was cool too. Except it rained but all the bikes were named after celebs. I had the Jenna Jameson bike. :P
I also checked out the huge pot plants the company had out the back of their office and gave one a hug. :)
