I am always on a quest for hot food. This god forsaken country is full of pansies, so when a company advertises something as hot it usually isn't. My attention was drawn towards The Inferno, a creation made by our friends at Pizza Capers.
There is some facebook page where you can upload a video of yourself eating it. After my burger exploits I thought about recording myself eating this. It would have been a waste of time because it really wasn't all that spicy. If the burger was a 10, then this pizza was a 5 or maybe even a 4. It was quite delicious, though. I suggest you try it.
The only other thing that has really floored me were the 3rd degree burn wings at The Smoke. They were seriously fucking hot those things. I have tried the death sentence wings at the Yardbird and they were pretty hot but nothing special. I once ordered a curry from my local and asked them to make it hot and that if it wasn't hot enough I was going to return it and ask for my money back. It fucking owned and was the most perfect level of spice ever (an 8 on the burger scale). They have never been able to replicate it.
Does anyone know of any super hot curry places or wing places or whatever I can go to? I'd be willing to go as far as the Sunshine Coast.
Buffalo Wings @ http://thesmokebbq.com.au/ (New Farm)
I have only had the medium hot ones and my lips swelled up. I probably even watered the sauce down with my own tears.
I have megadeath sauce. There is only a little bit left and it is 3 years old and a funny color hehe. I was in a butcher the other day and they had a chili sauce that they said was officially the hottest according to the Guinness World Records.
http://www.scorpionchilli.com.au/chilli-sauces.html <-- this stuff here. I am gonna try that but at over 1 million scoville units I think it might be a bit excessive, plus apparently the flavor of the scorpion chili isn't meant to be that great.
mental: I want to eat the fuck out of that curry and this one
edit: yeah thermite I have had them. The first time I had them I got the 3rd degree burn ones and the sauce was all goopy and not really a true buffalo style. It was also burny as fuck, easily as hot as the burger if not hotter. Second time I went I got the blue heat ones and they weren't very hot but had the nice vinegary taste that I love. I got some of the 3rd degree burn sauce on the side and just put a little bit onto each wing and it was perfect.
that megadeath sauce is just not pleasant. the bottle of it at work has defeated the 50 or so who have attempted a few drops of it
All of Blair's products are just gimmicks, they have next to zero flavour and are only created to cause pain and be given as gifts/used as talking points.
Try out BBQ Tempt at sunnybank. Different meats on a stick covered with a dry heat powder. Ask for it hot, and tell em that you will ask for your money back if its not hot enough. I haven't been as adventurous with hot stuff since eating that god damn burger, but the BBQ tempt place is a go.
There is another place at market square sunnybank that does a similar thing. Same same but different. Its located under Little Taipei next to the grocery shop. BBQ Tempt is next to sushi train in the sane complex.
That part in the video where he wipes his face with the chillie stained napkin, we've all been there before. Maybe not by napkin but a lapse in concentration and the next thing you realise what a horrible mistake it was to pick you nose after cutting up a pile of chillies.
I've made some hot sauce with a load of Habaneros which is pretty awesome.
It's much hotter than I like it but it blends really well with tomato sauce so I can cut it down and adjust to taste if I want to use it as a dip or I can simply add it to dishes to spice them up. It's pretty god damned hot, not sure what it'd rate in scoville but I used seeds and all in my sauce which are meant to be around 350,000 so I would guess maybe 150,000+ but at a certain heat it's all the same to me.
I've got another bunch of habaneros that have come on late which I'm thinking of making a tabasco sauce with.

I ate a pizza like that once. It was just hot, bugger all taste to it. Kind of defeats the purpose in eating it if you ask me, might as well just eat a bunch of fire ants.
bombay dalhba op lawnton train station, beef vindiloo, and ask for as hot as he can make it (ramesh owns/cooks, and back in the days when munching on birdeye chilli's was a nice little beer snack, that curry floored me, one large curry took one carton of beer, and an hour to eat, and I still lost weight
(and the butthurt after wasn't as bad as i thought it would be)
Go smash a hot pot at Cube Restaurant in Sunnybank, having something that's both spicy hot with layers of chilly oil plus the temperature hot of the soup is awesome fun.
I don't have a brand - I have just found a few recipes online and tweaked them a little. Haven't created any recipe from scratch, just experimenting.
I had some poblabo's, but don't think I have any plants anymore. Most of them are seedlings. Will be planting a few hundred more seedlings around August/September - all different varieties. Trying to get some Ghost happening, but haven't had much luck with them so far.

Quite true...I recommend the Pepper Chicken and Spicy fish (number one on the menu)
i cook my own chicken wings with the hot slap ya mama salt then just drop whatever chili sauce i have on them once they're cooked. freaking awesome. i have this habanero sauce called the devils tears atm. its great local perth company
I like very hot curries but too hot and you ruin the the other flavours in the food.
When i first moved out and into a share house i had this mate that was always boasting about eating hot curries. I did this curry sausages and rice thing and it was pretty hot but I had no trouble eating it. He started eating his and after a few minutes couldnt eat anymore, his eyes were red and he was gulping down the milk. PUSSY
Had this sri lankan friend who gave this wicked curry powder, could only use a little but it was really nice.
oh i also got a t-shirt that has `i survived the inferno` or whatever written on it
now i am by no means on fpots level of eating hot food, but i enjoy probably higher than your average persons level of hottness in australia which is generally fuck all
it was a fairly hot pizza, and i say that relative to other pizzas i have had with chilli or jalapenos etc on it.
but i was expecting to not be able to eat it the way the clown at the pizza shop carried on about it what he was handing it over with the sticker they wrap around it to protect others from accidently eating and fucking gloves to eat it lol
I saw one of those TV chef tips once where he washed his hands using a lemon after chopping up some hot chillies and I've tested it using habaneros and it works better than any soap or detergent I've tried. Apparently the acid in the lemon breaks down the oils from the chilli.
Not sure if it works as a relieving drink though, personally I think if you have to drink something to cool it down then you've made it too hot to begin with.
Edit: Just looked at that chilli factory website, they are worse at rating things than Ausgamers. They have heat factor out of 10 and the hottest thing they have is 15 out of 10...
The best thing for washing chillies and helping with burn is milk or other dairy based things. It is not an old wives tale - chilli is fat soluble and not water soluble so where water will just swoosh it around in your mouth and just leave it stuck there, a big glass of milk will wash it down to your stomach and the next time you will feel it is searing your asshole on the way out.
And they got rid of the 3rd degree burn sauce? Fuck, another hot dish bites the dust :(
spicy food being attributed to being hardcore / not pansy is pretty dumb. Hot food removes the taste and texture of the food you're eating. that's the reason i don't eat overly hot food.
Just spicy enough to get extra flavour without taking over the other flavours of the food i'm eating.
It is pretty dumb, which is why when I make mention of it I am being facetious. It's obviously all depending on personal taste which is why I would love to have that 8/10 curry I had replicated :( That was so perfect.

When you do obtain that tolerance though, things previously that the 'hot' spices were covering start to be tasted. They're pretty nice once you can stand the hot stuff to actually taste beneath the heat. TBH though, eating is a mixture of pleasures anyway. It's a bit shit to tell someone who's enjoying pushing their tastebuds to the heat, that they're doing it wrong. You might not like it but you can stick to your oatmeal and whatever else.
there's a curry place way over on the east side of brisbane somewhere, spice avenue I think it was called, they have a curry called a tindaloo which is fairly hot. I don't think it would make you hallucinate or anything though but you might wanna cross it off the list sometime
I do enjoy hot food, but vgery hot food - no. I must have an ulcer because after hot food I get killer indigestion.
I had a Thai Green Curry once at my friends restaurant. I asked her to make it extra hot and I shat an orange toxic sludge (which I think was part blood) for two days afterwards. I was not able to drive home that night.
Had the inferno from pizza capers last week as well fpot. Emergency kit definetly not required and I agree it was a tasty pizza. Would buy again for sure, looking forward to it.
Can't help you on your quest though, tasty hot stuff is good, hot-hot stuff is retarded and pointless and typically the flavour is so drowned by the chilli. Each to their own though =)
