Hi guys, another noob question from me on tech stuff.
i want to know if all motherboards are the same dimensions? because i have a shuttle like this
http://au.shuttle.com/product_detail.jsp?PI=505#
so i want to make sure if i buy a MB it will actually fit.
Why you ask? Well I picked up that WD HDD you may recall from this thread
http://qgl.ausforums.com/index.php/439207/?agn=thread&id=2846406
did this in the hope it would fix my issues with an old PC (about 5 years old now on XP) that i just wanted to fix enough to use in my back games room for music and some minor netwalking, as the consensus was that the old HDD was in need of replacement. it would run for a while then it was regularly not loading windows.
but even after 2 days of new HDD i have had the same issue a few times and it's a bit frustrating so since the HDD install went so well i thought i'd dabble with a new motherboard in the hope this is the problem.
now i'm just doing this as a bit of a hobbyist because i find it rewarding to pull it apart and get it back together and working so i don't need the fanciest MB. i just want to make sure i'm buying the right thing.
So what do i need to look out for?
cheers again
