Welcome to marketing 101. I've purchased 8 tubs of new vegemite since it has been released, quite like it.
I'm going to deliberately never buy it again because of the name, purely out of spite because I'm that much of a knob.

In addition, consumer involvement in the branding processes does not only build a strong relationship between the consumer and brand but also brings the consumer closer to the product development team, effectively giving the consumer a sense of empowerment and self-satisfaction.
Welcome to marketing 102 and English Grammer & Spelling 101.

Purchase of high involvement products such as the ISnack 2.0 typically causes the consumer to experience Post Purchase Evaluation. This final stage in the product buying process may cause the consumer to feel Post Purchase Dissonance, in other words, the feeling of discomfort after purchasing the product. This may be due to either finding another product that is of better value or merely due family/friends' criticism of the product.

Yeah, that's what I thought it tasted like. I really liked it, and it's not as strong, so you can layer it on pretty thick.
I'd actually be tempted to try just mixing Vegemite with cream cheese just to see if I get the same result.

Quite true, would suspect this is at least one part of why they chose the stupid name. Doesn't change the fact that the new stuff horrible shite I wouldn't feed to my dogs. That said, I'm one of those freaks who loves Vegemite like crazy and will slather it onto bread/toast without butter & not give it a second thought.
