A question. If someone were to somehow find a milk crate lying about, what are their obligations regarding it? Do you have to return it or can you just take it and do whatever you please?

Well it was originally located someplace but it somehow managed to accompany a *mate home after a night on the turps and then into the boot of somebody's car.

By the way, that milk crate you found, you didn't find it near the Port Office by any chance did you? Outside some building not far from a carpark?

apparently it's illegal to be in posession of these things but I don't know for sure and I don't know if anyone's really going to come beat your ass down & arrest you for being in posession of them.

Taking milk crates just increases the milk company's operating costs. So ultimately they'll put up prices and you'll pay more for coffee. Unless the milk company rather decides to stop milk deliveries therby forcing the various shops and cafes to collect it themselves and thus increasing their operating costs and, you got it, forcing them to put up their prices.

In the end we'll all pay more. GW. Please thank your friend for making me pay 50c more for a lousy cup of coffee.

also... milk crates may have all been owned by companies like pauls in the 60's, but since then you can buy them from a heap of different outlets... like bunnings etc. it's not like some some company hold patents on the dimensions of a plastic box.
every dj i know has like 20 of them.
my 75year old nieghbour is sitting on a milk crate weeding his garden as i type this... call the f**n cops!
