Civ V Expansion Video

The original release seemed pretty flat to me, compared to Civ 4 with its two expansions, but this does look to make it a little more interesting. Espionage looks potentially dull, but religion looks like it could add some much needed variety, and the city-states may be a little less boring.

June 19th and 22nd, for different regions.

It's listed as $30 in the US though, now that I look, definitely not worth that from what I've seen...

If you haven't played Civ 4 + expansions, I'd recommend that first. Civ 5 looks a bit nicer, and has a few improved things (such as a hexagon-grid map), but overall has much less going for it, imo.

No Leonard Nimoy was a bit of a set-back for my money.

Have they fixed Multiplayer yet?

When I last tried it, there was no 'save game' for multiplayer (which is obviously fuckin un-usable unless you leave your PC on for days at a time between sessions.)

Seriously, who the fuck is gonna play through a whole session of Civ in a single sitting!

It's listed as $30 in the US though, now that I look, definitely not worth that from what I've seen...

which means it's gonna be $50AUD at least I imagine... Civ 5 is still listed @ $69.99 for std, or 89.99 for GOTY on Steam currently.
I purchased my copy of the game for $40 at launch (I don't recall which online retailer, but one of em...)

You can save in multi now (steam cloud and locally).

Its still heaps clunky in multi though, no unit animations etc, hard to see what's going on.

Civ 4 is Superior to Civ 5 in almost every way.
