Thanks gamer, I was like... who did what in the whu... Been watching the progress of both NS2 and the Wolfire game with interest for a long time.

The both have had such large amounts of income from preorders and yet they have taken years to get anywhere.

Curious to see people appear to just let them prod along with only the scream of scam to be heard sometimes.

Also ctd, you mean Counter-Strike right? ;) NS came out a long time later, but CS was third party first =D

Kickstarter projects allow game devs to use gamers as publishers, UWE takes it one step further and makes them pay for the privilege of being beta testers as well. It's only a matter of time before a major kickstarter beneficiary publicly implodes and the neckbeard internet rage will reach epic proportions.

Yeah but CS was a Valve owned mod for most of its life (from 2000 onwards). When NS was released it was the most popular 3rd party mod (tfc, dod, and cs being valve mods).

So it was the most popular mod out of what was left once Valve had bought all the good ones?
