Haven't really played in about 12 months or so. Got up to high leagues and stopped playing regularly which then made me get stomped whenever I played. Will pick it up when the expansion is released.
still play :P .... the new custom from bliz is fun (I usually play 1s since I enjoy the challenge instead of just rushing every time which is what 3/4's is ...)
I play often still, maybe like 5-10 games a week. I play 1v1's the least because of the pressure. I'm only gold but often i feel like if i played solidly i could work up to plat but I never spend enough time playing and often lose to really dumb strategies which i easily defend against in 2v2.
If i played more i'd probably be more confident rather than second guessing and delaying builds etc because of the stress.
There's a core group os us that play with Hog, but the games are random and few and far between.
Generally I/we play 2s or 3s. Seems pretty good, mostly in Plat or Diamond. 1 v 1s are too stressful, because if you lose you can't blame your teammate :)
When I get time I play, my son is still playing heaps, he and his mates make pretty short work of me these days. I'll get right back into it once the expansion is announced I expect.... if I'm on I'll play though
If you get a group of people together who want to do a series of 1 v 1s or ffs or something there is a pretty good custom map which allows I think up to 12 people to join, and then you 'opt in' to each match and it will randomly decide who is VS'ing who.
The spectators can spectate as normal but with a crazier UI than the standard blizzard one, and also bet on who they think will win.
It's pretty groovy - but yeah, much better being on US :)
I still play pretty regularly, gold in all leagues. Always seem to get the rank 1 and then find it impossible to rank up leagues because i get matched with high rank diamonds who smash me.
I stopped for a while as my regular crew moved to the US server and for some reason my account is crippled and won't let me play there. I'm stuck in circular support death with the Blizzard team about it but each time, they win because I give up.
I want to play some more but I'll never really get much better as I can't take it seriously enough to progress much. I just like having epic 4v4s with huge battles. SPLOSIONS!
I won a 1v1 in practice league once.......only because my opponent was busy attacking my front entrance and thinking I was an easy kill, taking his time. I found a weak spot in his base side entrance and marched in with marines and marauders.
I've given up on ladder 2v2 because the level of stupidity is too high. Nearly every game my teammate is a leper and then half the time they abuse me after the game because they are fucking retarded.
Will be playing 2v2 with a friend only.
I am however having a ton of fun learning Terran playing custom games off the ladder. I usually play Protoss and it is nice to be off race occasionally.
Yeah, I'm in Silver for 4v4 and the level of stupidity is quite high, unfortunately (i.e. scouting info reveals we are being rushed- allies continue to try and mass void rays). :(
for SEA, my ID is Rohan 263 (i think) I'll edit this if it's incorrect.
Can't remember my US ID, but I only ever go on US for customs or to have a practise ladder before I go laddering on SEA.
After I get back from japan, someone should organise a QGL SC2 event, round robin winner gets his name posted in this thread comp. For fun and learning primarily :) maybe even make it 2v2
i wish i had the patience for this game to learn the strats and shit, but i don't
i don't like the pressure of 1v1 trying to multitask seeing what they are doing and then deciding what units to make to counter what they are doing etc etc
as trog said, every so often i'd play a 4v4 where it would just turn into a massive end game battle which was cool, but usually it was just fag zerg strats which i have 0 patience for
