A younger cousin of mine has started to play WOW, and doesn't want to install it via massive download or CDs, then download the 2gb or so patches.
MY WOW however is up to date, meaning he could log on and play, at first I told him to fuck off and do it how I had to, his mother didn't like my choice of words so bow Im stuck with it. Problem is, I don't have a 30gb + External HDD lying around.
Is it possible to transfer the files between my laptop and his PC?
if so shouldn't be a drama, set up a home network and its a simple copy paste. i did this with my steam account for when my wife is working on main pc and i want to play on our spare.
right click on your wow folder, "sharing"
make it read only, then find your computers IP (ipconfig in command prompt), then from his machin go \\your.ip.here in explorer
it should see the files shared out, then you just go grab the ones you want and copy them to his lappy
Since it's him and his snot nosed mother that wants it, tell them to go out & buy an external hard drive and you'll do it. Why should you put yourself out with all the hassle?
