While Activision has already released some of its premium video shows for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty Elite subscribers are still waiting for the meat of the service, a year's worth of downloadable content for Infinity Ward's record-breaking first-person shooter. The wait ends next month, as Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling has announced a January 24 launch date for a Modern Warfare 3 add-on.

No mention of whether or not Elite will be coming to PC though. But from the looks of this:
As for Call of Duty Elite, Activision has said the subscription service for its first-person shooter series reached 1 million paid users last month. Elite provides players with gameplay statistics, video sharing, and clan support features for free. Those who shell out for the $50 annual subscription will also receive all downloadable content released in the year, as well as exclusive video content and other perks.
All the stuff in Elite is already available to PC users through various other means like youtube.

Yeah they showed a preview of one of the maps on their facebook. Doesn't look like PC will be getting Elite for awhile though, no real mention since release.

"Those who shell out for the $50 annual subscription will also receive all downloadable content released in the year, as well as exclusive video content and other perks."

Exclusive video at this stage consists of "Friday night fights" which are basically celebrities battling each other on MW3. Apparently there is more exciting content to come, by Ridley Scott and featuring Will Arnett among others.

'Other perks' I think at this stage includes the 'compete' function on Elite.. prizes are up for grabs, but you need to be a subscriber to play.

Has anybody downloaded any DLC without Elite?
Any thoughts on the new maps?

Most of the competition will be region based, eg. US citizens only.

no benefit to pc users really, the community isnt't big enough here to support any kind of reasonable competition and hacking is too prevelent.

I wish the new maps weren't such a rip off.

Game has died on PC? where the fuck have you guys been playing? on your "dedicated servers" ?
It takes literally 30 seconds to get thrown into a game at any time of day. Oh and it doesn't crash on my gtx 560 ti like BF3 does every 2 minutes.

This.

I think it's about 10% of the COD community is on PC?.. So that's still a hefty 2 million or so people that are playing. To say the game has died on PC is a bit outrageous.

Any idea how many PC gamers there were playing COD2?
