Hey guys, been a while since i bought a new game, I would like to purchase battlefield 3, is steam the way to go for this kind of thing ?

bf3 isn't on steam, just fyi.

You'll need to use origin to play it, though you can get it from just about any cdkey site.

I bought from there yesterday. Delivered after approx 15mins. Check the cd key seller but it appears many keys are now auto-delivered which saves waiting the 12-24 hours for delivery.

Otherwise, check here to compare various key site prices but the above link is 3rd cheapest and ive bought from them before.
