I've never played any of the MW games (tbh I only just started noticing that they existed a few months ago), but this seems pretty fucking terrible in its own right (selling xp at all). Combined with selling it with junk food, for a presumably largely child/teenage audience, is... not helping me love free markets.

yeah its terrible, however if you are such a shit parent that you can't see this promotion for what it is and you let your kids gorge themselves on fatty shit so they can become more addicted to their fantasy online worlds, you suck

just a shame the kids have to suffer as a result

Kids already eat junk food. Kids already play Video games.
Make a promotion so that kids might want to eat, or play, your particular brand?

OMG THE WORLD IS GOING TO END!

Actually, don't think that article is really pointing at obesity, when most of it is about selling out and drawing blood from stone, and a small sentence mentioning obesity. But who would of thought Activision WOULDN'T of done this? It's kind of sad that they are selling XP points now, when that is pretty much the entire games point. And also, giving guns that are actually exclusive? Holy cow get ready for a sinking ship!

Don't care about obesity but paying for XP is bullshit.

Nothing game changing should be able to be bought.

Can't police kids all the time though, I imagine. And it doesn't make it easy when your kids are also being exposed to this kind of marketing campaign from game devs too now. Brings down the legitimacy of our industry, in my opinion, this is pretty gross.
