According to eventhubs, the following features will be available in the upcoming SSF4:

• A team battle mode that is a 2 vs 2 set, but it can scale up to 4 vs 4.

• A Replay Channel where you can play replays of matches while voice chatting with other players.

• An Endless Battle mode with up to 8 players and voice chat, which sounds a lot like the quarter matches in SSF2T HD Remix.

• Apparently a 'tournament mode' will be delivered as DLC (downloadable content).

What's more, check out the scanned image from the Famitsu Japanese game mag showing the bonus stages as well the online menu for SSF4:

Street Fighter 4's online modes were pretty lackluster if you ask me, so team battle and tournament modes should be welcomed additions to online play. Not to mention 8 news characters, new stages and background music, bonus stages as well as tweaked gameplay is making this title a worthy sequel to SF4.

Yaya, talk about nostalgia huh :)

Looks like they've even kept the same car, though I've always wanted to ULTRA combo a Range Rover. Must have something to do with its boxy shape.

Sweet! Car punching and barrel punching make their long-overdue return.

I still don't agree with them charging full price for what is essentially still the same game with a few extras though. I wouldn't mind if they wanted to release a Super StreetFighter 4 edition so that people who didn't own the game at all could get the new version, but it'd be nice if there was like a DLC upgrade that people who already owned the game could just buy to upgrade to the new version :(

I'm pretty sure in a recent interview Ono said that the reason why it wont be a DLC is because there's just too much content there thus deciding to stick with the standalone physical media option. If anything releasing a DLC would be the cheaper alternative for Capcom but they're actually listening to the fans (in terms of content anyway) which is promising. Plus Ono mentioned that the game will not be sold for full price, so i think they're genuinely trying to please the fans with this one (while obviously capatlising on the success of SF4).

Here is the brief video interview.

Oh and in case you couldn't be bothered with the vid interview (don't see how), here's the text interview with more details. Also, they're getting rid of that 'indestructible' intro song, Hooray!

IGN: Will there be a new theme song for Super IV? Ono: Yeah you don't have to worry about being indestructible anymore, haha. We're fixing that. Speaking of lessons learned, when looking at something like this for the first time your assumptions might be that this is some kind of downloadable pack or something, and to be honest with you that's not going to be. There's just too much going on with this release and too much content. But this isn't going to be like the old days where we go on and charge you full price or $75 for each consecutive Street Fighter game in the series. This will not be a full-priced game. I'm not going to promise you a $5 game or anything, but it's going to be a price that's appropriate to the amount of content you're getting. We're not going back to the "dark ages" where we'd just tack another word onto the Street Fighter series and expect you to pay in full again. We'll make sure we get it to everyone as cheap as we can

There's no reason why this can't be delivered as an expansion.

I'm hoping there's more to the smashing of the car though. As it looks like an exact replica of the mechanic from SF II & III. Don't get me wrong I always enjoyed combing an innocent car, but it would be nice if it evolved. Here's hoping anyway.

Yeah lets hope the bonus stage is not some rush job made to shut the fans up because initially Capcom had no intention of including the bonus stages at all.
